It really depends. If you're just playing the main game and ignoring all the side stuff, about 40 hours. If you just take your time or want to get 100%, then over 100 hours easily.
i often do side stuff, it's a problem of mine, but one i dont mind. c:
oh wait, follow-up question; i saw that evercrisis is technically required now for more lore insight in FF7 lore is that true? do i gotta play evercrisis?
No, you do not even need to touch Ever Crisis. FF7 Remake+Intermission and FF7 Rebirth go just fine together.
Edit: IF you just want more lore, then Ever Crisis will help (back story, etc). But it's not necessary, especially since the Remake explains/changes most of the story anyways.
alri thanks
crisis core too or no
I would actually recommend Crisis Core. It gives a great deal of detail for Zack, Aerith, and Sepharoth and helps lay out the present story for FF7. Again, it's not required to understand the story but it does a good job laying the ground work.
WARNING: It's a real tragedy and tear jerker
Only main story cost over 50 hours.
With sub quest, It is above 80 hours.
It also contains LOTS OF mini game.
Over all, It is easy to spend over 100 hours
what are the minigames?

Within the last month, I read On the Way to a Smile and The Kids Are Alright, the two tie-in books for Advent Children, and they added a lot of depth, so if Traces of Two Pasts is anything like those, it should be a good read.
The Kids Are Alright is also notable because it’s the original story for Kyrie and Leslie, though it’s set just before (and the epilogue is just after) Advent Children, so it’s a couple years ahead of the FFVIIR trilogy.
so excluding the og FF7 what would be the definitive way to go through the world of FF7 and its lore is it like XV with a ton of books a spinoff shows and a movie or
You obviously don't have to do everything, but I did, because I really enjoyed it.
The mobile game Before Crisis was never released outside of Japan, and Ever Crisis is the latest thing, but as a mobile gacha game they’ve kinda shot themselves in the foot over that one if they wanted that to be lore relevant.
There’s also Last Order, an anime adaptation that’s an alternate telling of the Nibelheim incident from Tseng’s point of view, but it has several inaccuracies and it can be skipped.
im hoping the graphics options are better than remake's bc im struggling to not have stutters on that game rn and i can run it just fine in 60fps but the battles are.. iffy for some reason
