Yes better than the PS5 pro too, and easily. Pop in has been eliminated on ultra settings, which alone makes it better
High framerate high refresh rate HDR GSYNC OLED monitor with mods and Reshade with custom profiles and LUT, that's how I'm playing all my games. Compared tot hat, a PS5 looks more like a PS3.
In fact out of the box most PC games also look quite crap, with their poor color grading and vaseline look given by TAA. At least I don't have to put up with low framerates and upscaling. Luckily, Reshade makes the game look sharp and much better.
Now if you don't have a strong PC, you can greatly enjoy gamming on a console. Gaming is great!
I haven't bought it yet, will do shortly before release.
I have it on PS5 but only played through the first region and a bit of the second region.
Since I hate playing an inferior version of a game, I lost interest as soon as the PS5 Pro came into view... so I would have to wait till I bought that thing in order to play the rest of the game.
Well, since a few days, I own a fairly decent PC, and before buying a Pro, I simply buy this game a second time.
Plus the added benefits of having mods... maybe.
Same thing with "Elden Ring".
I own it on PS5 without the DLC, but with this new PC, I wanna get it a second time with DLC.
Also, I downloaded it from somewhere first, just to check how my PC handles it... well, could play with everything on Ultra settings.
It looked better and ran better than on PS5... and again, I don't wanna play an inferior product.
Kinda like playing something on the "Switch" till a version for other consoles or PC gets released... at this point, the "Switch" version can F off.
EDIT: Not 'inferior product' but more like an 'inferior way to play the game'.
60fps required too much sacrifice to image quality on PS5, it obscured the art.
Ultrawide is a transformative experience. My TV and monitor are both hooked up to my PC, and offer nearly identical picture quality and high refresh (65” Samsung s90c QD-OLED and 49” g95sc QD-OLED) but the monitor is my preferred screen for games for its aspect.
Ultrawide may not be officially supported but it’s practically a given it will be modded in,
The modding potential and PC platform in general will pay dividends in the long run. I revisit favorite games many times over the course of decades. PC future proofs a purchase in a way no other platform can
I was halfway through the game. So starting over and buckling down on the game without poor visuals sounds good to me.
I don't know if I would rebuy it if I had it digitally on PS5 and couldn't get some money back on it. But since I got it on disc, reselling it got me most of the money back for the current Steam price. So I won't feel like I'm wasting much money with the platform swap.
