Feeling Burnt Out at Chapter 11?
Hi all.
Wishing to remain constructive here. Has anyone else got to the point where they feel just... Done?
*Attempting to remain spoiler free*

Learning mini-games feels shallow IF they're only valid in one region of the map. Some of the regions have felt like a chore to navigate through, like bad design... Plus the overall pacing/polish has been grinding on my patience for a little while. Can't help but wonder if this was rushed for a release date?

Just got through a solo section with a character that I don't gel well with in regards to combat, which feels like it has been a bit of a slog. Up an elevator for a "surprise game" that you can't skip, then get to a room where a pass code has been written SOMEWHERE.

I just... Need the game to be interesting again.
Thoughts?

I felt exactly like this too. I was doing all the content open world and mini games. I got burnt out around chapter 12. At that point I had to switch the difficulty to easy mode cause I like mentally checked out of the game. There was just too much boring open world content I found boring, and at the same time too many mini games one after another. I finished the game at 100 hours playtime. If I were to play again I would totally skip all the open world stuff, and the mini games. It be a lot more enjoyable that way.

I really didn't mind it during the more linear areas (I mean the topography, not the gameplay) and I enjoyed travelling around, but with the mountainous terrain from Gogonda onwards it just KILLED me.
Throw in the *atrocious* music (3 for 3 in Gonga, Red's Mountain Level, and Red's Trial level) and Yuffie's bird hoop Superman 64 minigame and I was done with all but non-essential content. Might come back to it once I've completed the game.

Sometimes, less is more, Square Enix.

My thoughts are that none of the common complaints have bothered me whatsoever and I've been awestruck and locked in for pretty much my entire playthrough so far.

If you don't enjoy something, don't do it. Simple enough to me.

Yes, it is just minigames over and over. I do not want to play a FF game which is full of mini games. If they would have made the game 20 hours with just the main plot, I would have bought it too. This game I will remember with full of minigames and nearly 0% plot. WHICH IS EXTREMELY SAD, especially for a FF game

I'm at that same point in chapter 8(?, the one after the Golden Saucer), I've been doing the Johnny inn renovation sidequest and audibly groaned when I got the "survey more lifesprings" objective.
I think I'm just gonna do the main story and circle back around for the side content if I feel like it.

Yeah, I've had a hard time getting into this one, remake I sat and played for ages and completed it quite quickly but this, yeah, I am struggling, I like it but it just hasn't gripped my attention like remake did

I would just take a break for a couple of days or so. Not like there is a rush in how fast you have to beat the game. Part 3 is still a long way off. Other option is make a second save file and just ignore the sidequests and mini games and plunge into the main story. When you feel like completing the minigames again, you can reload the old save file.
