Are there two sets of SP?
I see that SP can be used to upgrade skills in your folio. But SP are also required to upgrade your weapon. Are they different SPs, or they interchangable?

This part confused the heck out of me. I THINK I figured out they're the same - we can spend SP freely on Folio skills, while the total amount earned (all time) upgrades the weapons automatically.

SP for weapons and SP for Folio are, indeed, different. Just treat them as weapon levels and party levels.

It's the SP you have "on hand", ready to invest in folio, and the SP you have earned in total. So it is indeed the same progression mechanic, just shown in different metric.

Three completely contradictory answers. Yippee!

Weapon level goes by your total amount of SP obtained (regardless how many of it you spend, its purely about the total number earned)
That total SP is used to buy nodes in the folio (completely irrelevant to weapon level, but weapon level itself unlocks more nodes, so the the more total SP you earn, the higher your level of weapon gets the more nodes in folio will unlock for purchase)

no

Weapon level is just for the weapons to grow with you this however is based off SP.

Party level which takes all characters combined SP to calculate is what unlocks Folio nodes.

Folio uses SP for the upgrades.

so in conclusion SP effects Weapon level, Party level, and allocation points to the Folio.
There are also nodes that require a weapon level to unlock, but party level unlocks waves of nodes in general. There’s layers to all of it.

really? i guess i forgot about those over the last 50 hours iv been playing lol

i only remember party levels unlocking things
Party level is what’s more dramatic, when you go into the folio and it’s like LOOK, MORE NODES!, that’s what you’re thinking about. But when you go to unlock those nodes, some of them have an additional requirement of weapon level as well.
