2) Aerith never died in midgar ever. This is where remake diverges from the original, both sephiroth and aerith are aware of the events that played out in the OG, and are both trying to influence them. Zack never made it to midgar in the OG, he died in that fight with shinra. Aerith and Sephiroth's meddling broke the normal order of things and there's a timeline where Zack survives, but the heroes don't make it out of midgar, and a timeline where Zack is not alive, but the heroes proceed on to kalm, which is the OG's side. When Zack picks up Aerith in midgar, the holy materia falls out of her hair, and it finds itself in a different place than it was in the OG. That materia is the key to a lot of things.
3) Sephiroth was always able to control cloud, or at least, once the events of the game begins. This will be explained to you in part 3, perhaps you can get glimpse in nibelheim once you go back in present day though ?
I may have some minor details wrong here. ;p
Also like, remake's story is hard to understand without having played the OG ? I suggest you watch a synopsis on youtube or play it. You'll have a much better experience with the remakes. You can see where they diverge. ^^''
They were never meant to be properly remakes, they're new games that are complementary to the OG.
In the OG ff7 Aerith died on the church early on. Here he decided not to kill her. And from some that I read is because when he killed her at the church in midgar it awakened the holy power or something which impedes his plans. But would not killing her again just cause the same thing? What was the difference in killing her much later here in rebirth as opposed to back in the church.
Sephiroth has always stabbed Aerith in the city of ancients on the northern continent.
It's one of the most iconic moments in all of gaming. ;D
Really? darn i need to google it. I remember wrong then lol.
Yeah bro sit down for an hour or two in front of youtube and watch a synopsis of the OG, it will make your experience of remakes better, even if it spoils you the story. ^^''
The remakes are kinda made for people who know what the OG's story is, if you don't know it, you only get like 75% of the experience. ;D
yea i just reviewed Aerith death in the original and it seems it is basically what happens here as well. Who will be my healer and nuker in part 3 now huhuhuhu.
yea... loosing aerith leaves a hole in the party... in more ways than one.
Vincent
i wonder if we loose control over him when he uses his LB like in the OG.
haha yes. She is a constant in my party. I only swap out the third.
I would assume they will allow us to control him to utilize his cool moves and combos they can put into his beast form.
Nah, we can't use his limit break.
Yuffie, Cloud, Nanaki are some options. Tifa could be, but she is too good of a fighter at that level :D
This is true. I used her a lot to top up my party with prayer so Cloud and Aerith can use their atb exclusively with dps. Yuffie is really very fun and convenient to use because she is very well rounded and fast.
