RX 7600 crashing
Like many others I've read, my game is also crashing with the device hung/removed error, apparently at random (cutscenes, traversal, combat). Im still in chapter 1.
Ive tried changing all the game settings, clearing the game (and gpu) cache, even reinstalling the game, but nothing did anything.

Specs:
- RX 7600, Sapphire Pulse, 8GB
- Ryzen 5700X3D
- 16 GB RAM, 3600mhz ddr4
- nvme ssd, the Kingston NV3 1TB I think

Should I hope for a game patch / driver fix in the near future, considering Im not the only one with the problem?

Same ♥♥♥♥, same specs
What settings and resolution are you running at?
I'm assuming there's something going on with VRAM management in this game as at 1440p with Medium Textures it's regularly north of 8-9gb VRAM usage. I've had two problems in chapter 4 - one where the FPS dropped universally 20-30fps, even in menus, until I restarted the game, and another one just now where textures stopped loading properly again until I restarted. The equipment menus also progressively get slower to load.

I'm guessing you already tried lowering your settings? Any settings in the AMD adrenaline app? Have you tried any optimization mods? The 8GB VRAM might be a bit limiting. What settings are you playing on?

Yeah, it's not just you, you know. For example, a friend of mine bought the 7800 XT to upgrade his PC,(he too have problem with Rebirth) and to tell you, I have a 4060 Ti 16 GB mounted on a 7-year-old PC (I have an i7 9700K), and both here and on the latest games like MH Wilds, for example, it runs much faster. I mean,

I don't know if AMD is doing something wrong with their drivers lately... Nvidia's last two driver updates have made significant progress, considering that, for example, the 7800 XT used to compete with the 4070 until recently.. (Nvidia has made a huge leap with the latest drivers, even up to 50%, which is crazy for a driver update—it’s almost like changing hardware :S)

This is an old fix, the newest 1.001 patch of FF7 Rebirth does this exact fix and replaces the .dll file with the new, updated one. This video fix would have worked on the v1 release of the game. Have you updated your game?

Lower the background detail, it will fix the crashes

This issue is already reported by AMD in the "known issues" of your latest drivers, so my guess is that it's on them to fix it.

What version of Windows are you using? Windows 10 never had this problem but Windows 11 has some odd quirks when it comes to graphics.

For Windows 11, go to the start menu and type "Graphic settings" - if your game (in this case, ff7rebirth.exe) has the GPU preference set to "Let Windows decide" -- try changing that to your main GPU. Then relaunch the game.

And if you haven't already, download and install the Epic Games Launcher - this app fixes a lot of DirectX files that Windows 11 doesn't. You don't have to log in, just run it, then shut it down and then relaunch your game.
Im sorry for not replying earlier.

I've tried every graphic setting on the game, to which nothing seemed to matter regarding the crashes.

I've tried all the game settings and adrenalin options, nothing worked. Im not using any mods, do one of those improve the crashes?

Like I said, the issue is already reported in the "Known Issues" of your latest drivers. Your best option is to wait for driver update. ^^''
