Can I skip the "Queen's Blood" mini-game?

Can I skip the "Queen's Blood" mini-game? Will I miss any story content, equipment, or skill rewards?

Iirc, pretty much. There is some minor party power progression tied to it and some optional story, but if you do not want to do it, you can pretty much opt out of it almost entirely.

At one point in the main story, there is a tournament, but you can either let yourself fail out or maybe even decline participating.

I loved it and wanted to do it, so, I did not do that, but, my impression was you do not need to do it.

Well if you win the tournament on the Shinra Boat, you get the Assess Materia earrings. That is the only thing I can think of off the top of my head though you would miss from not doing QB.

IIRC that was where I got my only pair?

There is a story element to the QB game(not connected to main story), once you start defeating enough opponents the little story part to it will start getting slow dripped to you. Pretty sure something big is coming. It has to do with the QB creator.

I havnt finished it yet, but Ive defeated 18 opponents so far thats how I know of this. Anyone who finsihed it please dont spoil.

There's story content related to QB, but I'm not sure if it has any Folio upgrades related to it. If so, you'd be able to skip it altogether.

You'll miss party exp from doing the quests etc for it, so you won't be able to get max party level, so you wont be able to get the level 10 talent points

You can but IMO it's one of the better "full mode" mini-games as well as one of the easiest card games in the franchise. Can always save it for a later play-through of course.

In case you were unaware of this. Thorin (the guy you win the ChocoMog card from in a Kalm sidequest) gets the card for each regional summon (Titan, Phoenix, Alexander, etc.) as you reach new regions. I would definitely purchase the Titan card if you haven’t. It’s probably one of the best simple cards in the game.
