[FIX] AMD Crashing Fixed on my PC --- Tips
I have seen a lot of different posts, so just thought i would make another so people have another point of reference. I was dealing with a LOT of crashing, and then a LOT of stuttering. I did a lot to try and rectify it and here is what seemed to finally work for me.

7800 XT GPU, Ryzen 5 5600 CPU, 16 GB RAM --- not a powerhouse of a PC, but a good GPU.
Not sure it makes a difference, but I play via Steam, no real changes on Steam end, I use Big Picture Overlay while gaming if that makes a difference and did not notice performance hit.

In-Game Settings:
- FPS Capped at 90
- Ultra Settings
- 7 and 7 for the people/shadow draw distance --- not sure how much this does but my CPU is weaker and Costa Del Sol was whooping my PC's ass
- 1440p (my monitor only goes up to 1440p)
- 100% Max, 66% Minimum
- TAAU --- I tried FSR via OptiScaler but no bueno (see down in Mods section)

AMD Adrenaline Settings:
Cap my frames at 60 with Radeon Chill (60 and 60)--- I think I could reliably do 70-75, but was happy with 60, i get occasionally stutters every 10-15min that go down to 55 FPS
I believe I have Anisotropic Filtering on at 8x, otherwise no other settings → not fully convinced this actually does too much?
No Other Changes! --- i opted to stay away from too many AMD Adrenaline changes, as I read that some people theorize it worsens issues.

Mods:
Ultimate Engine Tweaks from Nexus. I removed two lines: whichever one they recommend removing for performance, and then I removed the line about FPS cap (don't ask me why lol)
~~IMPORTANT:~~ I disabled the OptiScaler that I was using for FSR 3.1. I am using TAAU now. Will wait for Square to officially implement FSR --- FSR seemed to have caused the majority of my crashing.

BIOS Changes:
Turning off Smart Access Memory --- this fixed 90% of my stuttering. I would get stutters when simply rotating camera dropping FPS from 75 to low 40s. Now? Completely gone!

This is all the main stuff that made a big difference to me, and I can finally play the game in peace and have fun and not stress. For reference, Costa Del Sol is where I seemed to experience the most problems, just made it to the Gold Saucer and was worried I would get hit hard with performance issues/crashing/stuttering, but my PC is holding up! let me know if you're having issues or if it works for you!

I stopped the AMD crash on all but long sessions by turning down background detail a step, never needed to go through downloading anything from Nexus or what have you, whatever works though right?

The AMD crash is basically the game trying to use more Vram than is there and not clearing assets properly, according to more than a few, so ask the game to use less Vram it runs longer. A fix is needed for why the game/drivers are doing that.

Unfortunately, that didn’t work for me, I tried changing all the graphics settings but it didn’t help.

With the settings I outlined above, I’ve continued running on Ultra, and had no crashes with AMD system! Just wanted to post this so others could try it out and see if it helps
Upgrade to 32gb of ram... 16gb just isnt enough these days... even fornite struggles with 16gb. People who went from 16gb to 32gb will tell you things felt more smooth because of that alone. 32GB is standard for gaming now basically.

the most common reasons for crashing if you're running mods, is mods.

i9 9900K + 7900 GRE, I had crashes almost every 5-10 minutes of gameplay. I tried every tip written on the forums.
- Updated to optional drives
- upgrade win 10 to 11
Nothing worked.

Now:
- 4K resolution
- Dynamic Res Max - Min both 66
- Changed background detail Ultra to High ---> this fixed my crashed.

I had 2 long play sessions and no crashes yet.

Why not just lower the res if youre going to run at 66%?

I don't disagree and RAM and CPU upgrades are next on my list, but I am playing the game fine now with the settings I outlined and am fairly happy with the performance. Would love for them to implement FSR or XeSS but just happy to enjoy without crashes and decreased stutters!

Awesome! Yeah not sure why, but that change didn't work for me, I might try and see if it reduces stutters for me. For now Ultra is working for me!

Did you report your findings towards Square Enix support they need to patch this
