What in the actual F is this game? Characters that were funny and goofy in low poly psx models are now basically pornographic in HD realism. Does anyone actually like this stuff unless they are looking for something that is overtly otaku and sexual? So sad what they have done to the greatest FF made. This has Nomura's influence written all over it. This is what happens when you let dudes who are basically costume designers make your entire game.

Maybe the poor market performance of these games relative to expectation, the divisiveness of their decision making, the way the fandom responds to push back, maybe that's all a sign something is up here? We all know exactly what they could have done to honor nearly everyone including their shareholders. But no, SE's creative leads can't seem to get out of their own way

The game is performing fine. Stop expecting every game to sell 20 million copies in a week.
