What in the actual F is this game? Characters that were funny and goofy in low poly psx models are now basically pornographic in HD realism. Does anyone actually like this stuff unless they are looking for something that is overtly otaku and sexual? So sad what they have done to the greatest FF made. This has Nomura's influence written all over it. This is what happens when you let dudes who are basically costume designers make your entire game.

the dance off made no sense. especially how tifa, aerith, and yuffie know choreographed dance routines.

dio on the other hand in the og was a body builder in speedo and cape. so this is not new

I really think the more over the top scenes in FFVII are really just this game trying to be more like the Yakuza series. I felt the same with Remake, but this game just really reinforces it, especially with things like the ultimate party animal.

They let the guy who was basically the fashion designer for the old PlayStation FF games actually direct/produce the entire remake of FF7. That's why this is what we got, all the focus is on visuals and bodies. So stupid. I can't believe square enix leadership doesn't see what is happening. I think they are honestly clueless about how these guys are ruining their golden goose of ff7 cause they are corporate "suits" who are totally disconnected from what the original games story meant and they are just trusting these three guys to deliver, except this game is getting killed by other rpgs on steam cause it is so controversial and "weebish."

Go watch the scene again. The dude from honey bee inn is literally thrusting his crotch into the camera and this dio dudes model has more rendering and detail on it than all of midgar slum backgrounds in remake. The women are also just airhead eye candy in this scene doing a final fantasy x-2 coordinated yuna pop star dance number out of nowhere. Wtf has happened to sensibility.

That kingdom hearts series is a complete mess. The first game even loses direction when you get to the undersea section. Whether it's Sora and his "friend" or cloudd and sephiroth, what nomura does to these characters is blatant. He doesn't have sakaguchi to reign him in anymore so is just a eye candy hedonist bonanza. At least admit that the skin on these models is a lot of what you guys are getting out of this stuff
