Honestly it was easier with the Xbox.
The PS5 does have more rumble in the triggers but that seems to have no correlation on the correct pick choice. There was no distinction between trigger pull weight and the correct pick direction. I'd say maybe they need to patch it... but it's the only time in the game it ever comes up.
I went off the audio, the direction to pick seems to not make any noise.
Also - Yeah, my bad on the B to cancel - Was playing that Avatar game back then and it uses the same harvesting mechanic of tilt and pull.
instead of looking for how far it bends. look at how fast it bends
