Mogonga Mushrooms WTH?!?!? Spice of Life quest, ch9
Literally impossible, how the hell do you do this?
Apparently it's only doable with a haptic trigger controller. so ps5 controller only, maybe a steam controller.

But my elite Series 2, SOL. And this is a PC port, what were MnK users even going to do. This needs a patch to be beatable asap, it's anti-accessibility to require a specific brand of input device for functionality

it's not impossible; you just have to have a very keen eye for how far the mushroom bends in each position. i promise you it's doable without haptics. it may be a little harder yes, but it's doable.

it bends equally in every direction i try, this is gonna kill my motivation to keep playing
You can still turn in the quest if you don't get all of the shrooms.

Came for the same reason. Without the game clearly telling you what "more / less give" looks like, this minigame is basically impossible to do correctly on any input device other than a PS5 controller...

you need to get it perfectly to get the gold allocade thing on the quest in the quest book

Did it fine first try with a Series X controller .-. just have to look how far the mushroom is pulled in each direction...

Not perfectly, you can make a mistake and still get it on the second try - you just can't break the mushroom.

already broke one, i literally started the entire game over in frustration. Hopefully a mod or patch will hit before i get back to mid ch9
I did this on mouse and keyboard, I didn't notice any issues. When you move the mouse the mushroom bends in the direction you move, and it tells you how many sections there are at the top. You see which one bends the most, it bends practically in half for some directions and barely bends at all in others. The last trial with it is the hardest since there are a couple directions that bend similarly but you can save before doing any of them, and you also get a free mistake or two without breaking the mushroom.

I have the haptic turned off and I did it. You just look and see which one moves faster. Do the fastest first and slowest last

So I plugged in an Xbox X|S controller and a PS5 controller.
It's low, but rumble does work on both. They feel weak... so maybe they need to patch in a stronger vibration feature.

For the picking minigame. If you fail, just back out without harvesting and try it again.

i couldn't back out, there was no option too, that really pissed me off, or I would have. it was the second mushroom that broke. I'm un-following the Discussion since there isn't a solution. This was more for the PC Dev's to notice and others to tag on. I've has dropped a point off the review score i gave the game for this issue.

I'm going to assume it was an oversight on the localization team to integrate a brand and hardware specific feature.

Also the rumbling isn't haptic triggers, haptic triggers push back against you, the rumble is just a rumble with no variation in strength on any side
yeah you are not wrong its trash. You basically have to ignore everything but the mushroom as it doesnt work as the game describes. You just need to watch the mushroom and select the section the bends fastest first slowest last. Super frustrating. Worst part of the port I've found so far.
