Barrett so much better

Between this game and the last, I really like what they've done with Barrett. In the OG, he was relegated to a side character after midgar with only mild scenes in the GS. They have given him a LOT more personality and I really am liking new Barrett. I can't be the only one who really likes new Barrett.

Red XIII really is great too. I'm liking everything they've done so far with only small complaints, and this is coming from an OG player born in 84 who played the original FFVII to death and back (even beat emerald weapon!)

imo all the characters can be really good in their own way. but barret is quite fun to play and a real asset on hardmode. side note his in combat voice lines are great.

Barret in Remake was just...the angry dude screaming about Marlene and the planet non-stop. It was comically bad. This time they reigned him in, made him believable.

He's the best tank with Lifesaver + Chakra.

i still cannot see how wasting 1 atb to get 40% of the damage back as healing is more valuable then a single prayer materia. allowing you to regain roughly 2500 of each party members hp

I always liked Barret but I like him even more now. He's the one with the most to fight for, IMO (Marlene)
