Advice much needed! Could my computer handle Rebirth?
I bought Final Fantasy 7 Remake for a while ago, and I´m totally HOOKED on this series, I´m planning on purchasing Rebirth soon for my birthday! But I´ve also both read and heard about how huge this game (Rebirth) is and that it requires quite the prestige and specs of the computer... This is why I wonder if my Windows 11 laptop and with its specs could handle this game (the Remake worked well though). But Rebirth requires at the minimum 16 RAM and my computer has 16 RAM but about 15,6 GB is usable. And then there´s the third and last part/game soon coming out for the Final Fantasy 7 remake-series in the future...
Anyway, here´s more info on the specs of my computer;

System; Windows 11 Home, 64-bites operativesystem, x64-based processor
Processor: 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-11800H @ 2.30GHz 2.30 GHz
RAM: 16,0 GB (15,6 GB can be used)
Some graphic-card info: Intel Core i7, Nvidia GeForce RTX and 144Hz refresh rate

What do you guys think, could my computer handle Reborth?
A reply is very much both welcome, needed and most helpful.

Which RTX though, like the difference of a 4 to a 3 is pretty dramatic. And how much vram does it have.

This game has worked well on a rtx 3080 for me but for some it sets their card ablaze and allegedly a demon pops up offing your something called "The Noise" and then your fan just straight up grows a persona and is now asking you to move out.

I have a 2060S and I am having zero issues running the game. Take that for what its worth however.

Seemingly people with better hardware than I, are having issues.
Most of that looks fine. If you have an RTX card then you are probably good to go but it is quite impossible to describe expectations without knowing which RTX card you have. The difference between the strongest and weakest is enormous, to a magnitude of many multiples. You can find your model name easily by typing dxdiag in your Windows search bar and then checking the 'Display 1' tab.

What you might want to then do is look for benchmark videos on yt of other people running the game with that model; ideally with a PC build that is overall similar.

You also didn't mention what resolution you are aiming for which will also make a big difference. 4K is four times more screen than 1080p.

The games fps is hardcapped at 120 so you are not going to quite hit 144hz no matter what you've got.

Buy it, test it. If it runs poorly in Nibelheim, then chances are it will run worse when you reach the open zones. At that point, refund it if you can beat the 2 hour window, which isn't likely if you take your time. The prologue is lengthy.

ahh yes cus "intel core i7" is a "gpu", i need you to windows+r and run "dxdiag" to tell us what specific graphics chip you have in your laptop, also judging from the fact that you couldnt even spell operating system/graphics card correctly, i have a big feeling that you havent updated your graphics drivers in god knows how long so you prob should do that too:cozybethesda:

I could never ask for a refund, I really deeply HOPE this will work, I´ve looked forward to this game alot!

I´m sadly not very skilled when it comes to these stuff about computers alongside with programming etc so I don´t even know how to update e´m. Also, about the spelling thing, could also be that I tried to translate my computer specs from swedish to english (as my computer is swedish and I live in sweden), that could be why. ^^

Other, thank you so much everybody for all your replies so far, and also those of you who suggested doing a "dxdiag"-run! Here´s some more info about my computer specs and also hopefully some more RTX info;

Processor: 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-11800H @ 2.30GHz (16 CPUs), ~2.3GHz
Memory: 16384MB RAM
Available OS Memory: 16022MB RAM
DirectX Version: DirectX 12
Current Mode: 1920 x 1080 (32 bit) (144Hz)
Card name: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop GPU
Display Memory: 14006 MB
Dedicated Memory: 5996 MB
Driver Model: WDDM 3.1

In this document there was soooo much text and info and stuff, it was hard to find the most essential info, but I hope this info will do. So what do you guys think?

Just compare your specs to the game's required/recommended specs. No need to ask others to do that for you.
You could also just buy it. You have a full 2 hours to try it, and if it doesn't run good enough for you then just refund it.

This video should give you a good indication of how your GPU might perform.

Should work, and don't forget you can play up to 2 hours before you lose your refund claim and you can refund it when you bought it directly in the Steam store without a reason. Over 2 hours depends on luck, sometimes you can get a refund, sometimes not. Also depends if you have a good reason for it, but under 2 hours (in 2 weeks after buying) is no problem. For a refund you need to go to your Steam buy history and click on the game entry.

We almost have similar laptop specs, though my CPU is a bit lower - Core i5-11400h (6 cores) and I have a 2k display. I do play with a external monitor (1920x1080). And no major issues aside from a bit of stuttering (fr about 1 to 2 seconds) after fast travelling to other regions.

I play with medium textures, background and character model detail, the rest is on low. then Dynamic resolution scale set to both 66% and I locked the fps to 60.

On a laptop, it might struggle a bit, laptops usually run into issues with gaming less because of overall specs and more because they struggle to get rid of heat.

That said, you meet the reqs. You may have to drop the graphics settings a little, and I'd recommend playing on one of those cooler pads that give an extra fan on the bottom to help with heat, but you should be able to play no issue.
Yes, you'll be absolutely fine. I'm running this on an RTX 2080 in 1440p and it runs fantastic. You have a newer graphics chip and cpu, plus you'll run it in a lower resolution (1080p, which requires less power). Buy it and rip it, friend.

Trust me, I tried to compare all I could, but I was still unsure. I´m also not very adept with computer specs etc so why would I not ask for peoples advice when there´s always lots of people globally who knows alot about these stuff?... Especially when people so far has been so helpful and giving lots of information.
Also, I am not much for buying games and then just ask for a refund because I didn´t properly prepare. I´d HATE to ask for a refund on Rebirth cause I really want this game!

That´s awesome! Then I know what to look forward to. And let´s hope future patches might fix it up even more. I mean, a nice bonus is always a nice bonus! ^^

Thanks!
The thing is also, before I´ll even be able to finish the game, I´m sure over 2 hours may very much already pass. When I game, I love exploring all I can. So in case an issue may come at a later point in the game, 2 hours may have already loooong passed for me.

That´s nice! It´s also awesome to hear that even with some lower specs the game runs fine! It´s also interesting and cool that you have more graphical options on Rebirth, I remember Remake didn´t have that many different options. On textures it was either high or low on Remake.

Hopefully the heat-thing may not be much of an issue on mine. Although I have noticed my keyboard on my laptop getting warm, but that is after many hours. So hopefully it will be fine.

And lowering the graphic settings won´t bother me, even though I understand and very much appreciate the beauty of a game in its fullest also. The Remake looked nice on my laptop, so hopefully Rebirth will too. Other, thanks for info! ^^
