137GB of Space Required for Update!?!
What the hell Square Enix!?! Why is 137GB of space required for an UPDATE? That's the size of the entire game! This is the second time.

Because that's how this game's patching process works. It's a bit annoying needing an additional 137 GB's of free space just to patch the game, but at least you get that space back once the update is finished.
i recommend just redownloading the game its less just for some reason it makes you download a addtional 137

thats the weird thing when i downloaded the patch it downloaded a extra 137 gb i had to redownload the game to be safe
Although 137GB of space is required to start the download, it seems the download itself is only 19.5GB.

is this your first time ? this is how patches works when they require to redownload the most parts of the game, not the first and not the last time that games will do that.
just redownload the game it wont affect your storage except for the actual required space that was added

17gb only, but later it patches the full game , but download is only 17. You always need like 150GB free on your ssd so de OS works fine, if you have only like 20gb free , performance of the drive will decrease and also ssd cells can degrade faster since so little empty space to cache files.

the update that fixes a few things (maybe) costs 17 gigs. true. 17 gigabyte download for what, a couple of bug fixes.

but it also requires you have 130 gigs FREE - 130 gigs including the 130 gigs the game takes up. now, unlike some, I'm a gamer - I play video games. I don't have that kind of space kicking around for no reason because it's all full. with games. I love video games, so 2tb of space is constantly used up, and very carefully. 130 gigs for a final fantasy game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ridiculous, but fine. you can have it.

but no, the game actually costs 260 gigs, because you need to have double its size free at all times just in case they decide to release a casual update.

if you think that's unreasonable, it's only because you're a sane consumer.
