Have you tried playing the game? If you had issues before you should notice, if you did not then you wont see anything.
I just turned off the game to have dinner. Now I guess I can't play anymore today. Classic island internet L

Switch to offline steam mode, works for me

That's a lot of gigglebytes for a single patch. On the bright side, the update to Steam's updating UI is a nice improvement showing downloading data and updating files progress with different colored bars.

It's actually running better for me, much less stutter
ZOUC Feb 3 @ 7:08am
the direct storage update probably helps with the stuttering
I can´t install the patch because it says that I have not enough space and shows that I would need 274,3 GB. Has someone heard of that?
the biggest fix is probably the direcstorage :D

In this case, yes, it's true. My NVME drive was at maybe 500 GB's before the patch started downloading - it's at 731 GB's now, and continuing to rise.

Wow okay that´s crazy. Then I think I will uninstall the game on the NVME drive and install it on my SSD, I hope that it helps.

Yeah, it's a bit nutty. The additional files are in the "downloading" folder in your Steam folder, so you absolutely need that extra space just to update the game properly.

I miss the days when whole games were 7-14 GB's if you needed both discs on the XBOX 360.

Now you need almost 300 GB's of free space if Rebirth needs more updates; 135 of that just for this one update to install properly.

Oh, and you're welcome.
