Huge File update
Why the heck it shows almost 275gb to update this game?

Download isnt even remotely that large.
Mine updated while I was sending an email.. so less than 5-10 mins.

I understand that but the problem is the game size became almost twice so some people will not be able to update the game due to low storage space. So most likely I would have to reinstall the game.

The update was 17gbs. The game size for me is 153 GBs. I don't know why it's showing over 200gbs after update. You can right click on the game in your steam library, properties, installed files. Look at the game size.

Mine said 17 at first but then changed to 123gb now with estimated 9hrs remaining.

Literally just installed the game tonight and managed to play all of two hours. :deadweight:

From reading around, my theory is that the huge downloads for some may be due to if you had installed any mods. i.e. it it thinks there is an issue with the game files so basically re-downloads-re-installs the game.

I see. I was able to install the update by freeing up some space. lol I have transferred my other game to my other SSD.

That 17GB needs to patch the 100+GB of game files
To patch the 100+GB of game files it needs to decompress / unpack them, patch and repack.

That is why you need at least 2x the largest game file size + patch empty for games to patch properly
