I know one thing I've seen people confused about is that you have to use the RIGHT stick to dodge right and the LEFT to dodge left. Many seem to only use the left stick for both and end up getting hit all the time. Trust me even I somehow forgot about this when I replayed that part on pc :D

I just want to be done and move on in the game (also playing on Pc even though I own it physical on Ps5)

You can't hit him until he drops his guard. You hit him with the same side the drops his guard on. Watch his movement, move right or left accordingly. They get a little more difficult if you try to complete the other challenges.

WTF. I completely didn't notice the little right stick indicator in the corner of the screen. Still, the movements are so stiff, I'm stuck on the tutorial and Cloud just kind of moves when he wants to and not when I give an input.

Just press pause whenever he is about to throw, take notice in what direction you are suppose to dodge and also on which analog, then simply move the analog in the correct direction WHILE STILL IN PAUSE and that’s it. You’ll finish the whole minigame in 10min tops.

Yeah I hated the 3D Brawler game, just ended up pause-scumming my way through the whole thing and didn't even feel bad about it.

It was literally unbeatable for me, because one dodge input didn't function with my PS4 controller (for some weird reason). I had to swap to keyboard for this section. But at this point I was so frustrated with this minigame. One time was enough for me.
