DLC from previous game not picking up?
Maybe it is a glitch or something but I recently re-beat the first half on my steam copy of this game and now when I try to lead the previous data for the DLC for part 2 it says there is no valid data? Have I done something wrong or is this just another instance of steam being not great with ported games?

Same for me. Could try re-downloading Final fantasy 7 remake to see if it then picks up the save file if not I have no idea.
yea it shouldnt have a problem as long as your save data is in steam

Dunno if your save datas are from Steam or Origin but is the same, FFVII Remake saves files must be here:

\Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE\Steam\YOUR-STEAM-ID

Note: If you don't know Steam ID, just go same folder in Rebirth and copy that numbers

Is the only way it will works

Yes, right place but also unable to play rn due to the crashing from the patch I guess.

did you try deleting the binary folder from "*\FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH\End" and verifying integrity after?

this deletes any problem files that are not able to patch or verify

If that didn't help with your crash. Sometimes deleting your setting files (graphic especially) can help.

You can make a backup, if that feels safer for you, but normally the game creates a new one if it is missing.

Also keep in mind when you are using mods that some often need to be patched after a game patch.

without the hook mod, it should not read those files.
