FATAL ERROR upon catching Chocobo

Just adding to the list, this is my 10th crash/soft lock of the game. After enduring the horrible Chocobo catching mini-game, RIGHT upon pressing Y to catch the chocobo, BOOM. Fatal Error popup. Game crash to Windows.

Luckily it didn't happen again or I would have seriously rage quit. It's so sad to release a game in such a state, how much more do you want to hurt your game's fans??

11th lock up minutes later. Pressing Y to scan the first crystal in Junon. The camera still moves. I can press pause. But I can't quit to menu, can't move the character, game locked up.

And yes I'm on AMD.

Radeon 6800
Ryzen 5 5600X
16gb Ram
NVMe SSD

I guess I'm done until they can patch these issues or if someone has a fix.
