You might have skipped it, it definitely went through the compilation for me with the new drivers.

It definitely compiled shaders, however, I'm a little skeptical of the new driver. I had no problems at all in over 25 hours of play until I downloaded this one. I had a slight drop in performance, and it crashed so I rolled it back to the previous one and now it's perfect again.

i´m using latest drivers 572.16 here with 4070 Super and 0 issues, i think even game is more clear and clarity now.

Maybe some problem upgrading drivers, that coz i make always DDU when drivers update.
Make this way:

Download latest drivers and DDU > Disable Network Adaptor or WIFI ( if not windows will install crap ones) > After DDU make PC restart install Drivers only > Then enable internet again and install Nvidia APP.

it worked thanks!
IT may not if you did an update and not fresh isntall. You can delete the shader in the numbered folder ending .ushaderprecache to force it to redo the shaders. However it should redo it even on express.

Testing update now on 4 systems.

rtx 4070 TI SUper - redid shaders at launch

RTX 4090 - redid at launch

RTX 5090 - Redid at launch

Other games affected by it and new driver

Hogwarts:

4070ti and 4090 did not redo shader caching.

5090 did redo shader caching.

The game store shaders compilation here: \Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH\Saved

Is that file that start with D3DDrive..., is the only thing you need delete lol

What with the LOL.

I am VERY aware how this games utilizes files, and only one field with leave shader issues. IT stores it per GPU in a numbered folder. THe file the directs to the actual cachign ends .ushaderprecache for the UNREAL Shader Pre-cache

Just like editing the ini DOES NOT affect FOV alone nor keeping it from being readable, it is actually handled by a file i the main UE engine folder which is how the mod works.
