28 Years and Square Enix STILL Can't Pronounce "Cait Sith" Properly....
Like....seriously? It's "ket shee". If you are going to make a character Scottish, at least put minimal effort into pronouncing 2 words. People have been correcting this for eternity online...bring the VA back in for a patch.

This is how every Spanish person feels when we call them "Jose" instead of "Hoze". lol

They know the correct pronounciation

But probably chose to make it Kate Sith for the common folk that don't know no better.

I mean...that's still not how to pronounce it, so no they do not...

"ket shee" has always been the minority and its because it sounds neurodivergent.

It's...literally Scottish Gaelic...how offensive to call it "neurodivergent".

Play in japanese then, there’s only one fixed pronunciation for every letter.

Well, Cait Sith is pronounced "Kate Sith" in English. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

If SE ever releases a Scottish Gaelic localization, then I am sure it would be pronounced "Ket Shee" in that version.

I would also like to add that English speakersa pronounce many loan words incorrectly, but why should we correct them? That isn't important. They can pronounce them however they want in their language.

It's not, its the same word as in Banshee which means Lady of the fae.

I'm sticking with Cait Sith. Ket Shee is as weird as calling Tidus "Teedus" when we all called him "Tie-dus."
its pronounced Kayte Sif

I mostly just think it's funny lol Was a lot of sarcasm in my opening post. :steamhappy:
