Can't play the game(Fatal error out of memory)

Anyone else running into this issue? The game keeps crashing at the start of Chapter 1, right after Sephiroth defeats the first enemy. It crashes every time, and I get a "Low Level Fatal Error: out of memory" message.

I tried lowering the graphics settings to the minimum, but it’s still not working.

Here are my specs:

GPU: RTX 3060 Ti 8GB
CPU: Intel i5-10400F 2.90 GHz
RAM: 16 GB
OS: Windows 10 Professional (version 22H2)
Game installed on: External SSD (Crucial MX500 1TB)
Has anyone experienced something similar or know how to fix this?
