FFVII Rebirth on Steam Deck
I have seen so many posts about how unsatisfactory the game is on Steam Deck and while I understand the frame rate dips when in towns I’ve been playing it exclusively on my steam deck and I think it’s completely serviceable. Maybe an uninformed take as I haven’t played it on pc or PlayStation and I agree there’s probably some optimization patches that could be put in place I truly think it’s worth it to be able to play it on the go.

You can also follow this guide if you want to improve framerate and performance.

It is FAR better on a decent PC, but I completely agree with you. It works really well as long as you're not in a city. I've had one crash in the grasslands, but none since. I'll be doing most of my side quests on the Deck, I'd wager, as I can do that while watching TV or something and it runs so well in the field.

Tried that, mostly the same as the video shown above the only difference is far easier to install on with decky. Already using it but after the patch the graphics become more choppy, more worse than before. I revert back to taau

The question is does it exceed or match a equal game on the Switch? If it runs at least like a Switch game then it is fine for a portable device.
