This game really makes yearn for a Chrono Trigger remake

They've already publicly asked; IF they were to do such thing, which way would you like it to be.

The combat is already very close to what a modern chrono trigger combat system would be. They just have to emphasize positioning and aoe attacks more. It wouldn't surprise me if after this they'll do a chrono trigger remake.

To think someone was actually remaking Chrono Trigger about 20 years ago and Square shut it down. It was so long ago I can't remember if they were SquareSoft or Square-Enix yet.

I hate to agree with this but yeah. It's easy to think everyone knows it because it's constantly in top 10 jrpg lists. But then I remember most people can't name a game that isn't COD, Fortnite or Fifa.

The port on Steam is pretty bad from what I've heard

There's a high chance they ruin a chrono trigger remake. I don't really trust Square much.

Not to mention the original is already perfect, it can only go downhill with controversial modernization changes.

Kitase-san has already been hinting that they could do a Chrono Trigger remake.

I'd be completely down for that, but I would honestly also like for CBU1 to make something brand new as well.

It's alright, some good things, some not so good things.

I think OG FF7 had more flaws that could benefit from a remake.
