Haven't experienced crashes on both Ubuntu or Windows after the update. Hopefully has resolved most of the problems. Thank you.

Try enabling AMD Fluid Motion Frames 2 in Adrenalin either globally or for this game. Then play on max settings on a 4K monitor for 8 hours non stop. Let us know how it went.

Playing on a laptop with AMD Ryzen 7 5800H with Radeon Graphics 3.20 GHz. Still getting the 952 crashes after the update.

Some of the fixes people mention seem to help delay the crashes, but nothing has stopped them entirely. They seem to be completely random. I can go for hours without a crash, or I can get one 15 minutes in. I've gotten them in battle, during cut scenes, after using vending machines, after exiting the menu... The only solution is to save obsessively after every little thing in case I crash and lose the progress.

The game itself is fantastic, and I'm really loving it. I just wish this crash issue would get fixed so I don't have to spend every cut scene wondering if it's going to crash and make me do everything over again.

Update 2:

FSR mod also make crashes after a while. So I disabled it, and then no crash for hours. It is more and more suspicious that everything that has to do with frames, like:
- frame generation technics: AFMF and FSR
- frame pacing like AMD anti LAG and FreeSync (=VRR)
are things that makes the DXGI errors appear.

Update 3:
I have sad news, I got the DXGI low level fatal error on line 952 again even with all those things turned off. It really is just delaying the crash it seems.

I have similar experience as you are. Anti-Lag + AFMF are the main reason for stability issues.
On top of that, I noticed that there is a memory leak and track my VRAM usage. When it comes to 23GB (7900XTX), it is time to save and restart the game. Never had crashes after that.

Just a tip for easier debugging, if any dev this: try to use a low end Radeon card like RX7600 / RX6600 with max 8 GB VRAM and set all graphics settings to max and use 4k. I think with this the crash will happen the fastest.

AMD 7800x3d + GeForce 4080S also experiencing fatal error crashes(per 30min-1h gaming) at max setting. Nothing changed after the patch.

After trying different solutions it seems like turning off Vsync was the one that worked for me. Have not experienced single crash after that. (Playing at 4K 120fps all max settings except high background texture instead of ultra)

Radeon RX 580 here .. can run Space Marine 2 just fine .. can't even launch this game to the menus .. whatever .. graphics ain't ♥♥♥♥ on my game quality meter ..
rx580 too, no way to play.
As I read the problem is linked with the dx 12 ultimate, so it will affect all the "oldie" g-cards.
The game needs obviously a patch that will fix it.
I bought it 2 days ago, now I don't know what to do, return it or wait for a solution?
EricStone 7 FEB a las 8:04 a. m.
RX 580 here as well, same problem, can play SM2, and many others just fine... yet.... can't play this... Guess I get to wait just like I did with INtergrade, like 3 months or something like that....

Don't have 4k monitor but tried to run with AMD Fluid Motion Frames 2 and with max settings. After 2 hours mark the game crashed. Haven't used the fluid motion frames before because other comments said that it would crash more easily the game. So difference is basically that without any AMD settings I could play without crash to 5 hours and same with Ubuntu.
So this is my first crash with different settings after the game update and I've used max settings previously on longer sessions.

Anyway crash report goes like this:

LowLevelFatalError [File:Unknown] [Line: 952]
pResource->Map(Subresource, pReadRange,
reinterpret_cast<void**>(&pData)) failed
at
D:\j\workspace\E2\PC\e2p_BuW64MSt\cw\Engine\Source\Runtime\D3D12RHI\Private\D3D12RHIPrivate.h:1361
with error DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED with Reason:
DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG

I assume D: means directory but Rebirth and everything are installed on C drive because my Windows is a clean install. I do have D drive but I haven't used it once yet on Windows.

AMD Adrenalin also gives notice:
AMD software detected a driver timeout on your system. (Translated from my own system language)

Hopefully this is any help even though I assume many others have already reported similar info.

Had no issues at all, all the way up until the final fight, beating the game I then get a fatal error on the final cutscene and can't save it to get chapter select.. major buzzkill.

AMD Radeon RX 6700 and AMD Ryzen 7 5700X, tried with the optional 25.1.1 Update and several other potential fixes, including Cloud disable, re-install, removing old saves and so on, nothing I seem to do lets me save after the final cutscene before it crashes there - everything else is just fine though.

If anyone has a non-cheated save just after completing the game, lemme know!

I don't want to use any of the pre-levelled full cheated inventory ones, but I also don't want to wait for a maybe fix so I can just save it after the last fight lol

Ive got 7900xt gpu and 9700x cpu. I crash every 10 or so minutes. It was a black screen before with desktop still running, but now it crashes completely with it shutting down entire desktop.
goblue7777 8 FEB a las 4:36 p. m.
Is this still being fix cuz I got it today and I use the -dx11 in launch options with a combination of making sure all drivers and graphics card is updated. Getting fatal error now
