Zack after 4 chapters
Where is my boy Zack. I want to play his story. I'm tired of minigames.

I’m at the end of chapter 8, and he comes and goes occasionally, but never sticks around for very long. I expected more.

To answer the question though, you play as Zack just after you leave Costa Del Sol, and while you are going up Mt. Coral.

How skippable are the minigames though? Can I ignore 100% of them and not fall behind too much on the XP curve?

Minigames don't give you xp. You get xp from fighting enemies. However this means that doing the open world side objectives will help a lot in levelling up.

Some minigames do have nice rewards like different weapons and materias. Don't rush it just have fun. Think of playing this game as going out to play at the arcade

I don't care about XP but unfortunately there is too much lore behind minigames.

The last opponent in the queens blood ship tournament was funny. I'm curious though if you skip the tournament, would you still be able to see the cutscenes?

You can only play as him during the final boss fight and in Chadleys VR for one mission

After doing every protorelic quest, and every brutal solo challenge lol

No way. Well I don't really need to play him. I just want more cutscenes with him
