Game is a stuttering mess
I've updated the DirectStorage and D3D12Core DLL files along with updating to the latest DLSS4 plugin and also made some .ini Engine tweaks to reduce stuttering, but I still find the game to be a stuttering mess honestly. It's not quite Stalker 2 level bad but it's not far off either, especially when going into a town. I'm also using Lossless scaling to generate more frames and I have a 4070 Ti Super so there is really no excuse for this poor performance. Getting like 50 FPS in towns with wild dips from 70 to 45 fps, can improve this with Lossless scaling but it still is noticeably bad even at 70+ FPS. If I don't find other ways to improve this I'm just going to wait for a patch.

Runs fine for me maxed out. Just get a console pcs are a mess unless you have the right combo. I have a 3900x and a 3090 and it runs like butter maxed out
Hi i’m having the same issue and i’m polling some folks

• What kind of drive does windows boot from on your pc
• what kind of drive is ff7 rebirth on?
• is rebirth installed on the same drive as your OS/boot drive?

Try going into nvidia global inspector and forcing Rebar on. https://www.nexusmods.com/finalfantasy7rebirth/mods/3 has a guide on it.

this fixed nearly all my micro stuttering.

Windows 11 Pro and the game are both on the same gen 4 NVMe SSD for me

I will give that a try thanks, sounds like it might be the cause; I will report back soon
Edit: Tried the Rebar fix and while it seems to remove the stuttering I'm still getting wild frame dips from like 80 FPS to 45 FPS when moving the camera

On 1080p ? lol Because at 4k it doesn’t run like butter even on my 4090.
I can run Stalker 2 better than this game at this point so something is definitely wrong
.. *Chortle* 🤭 .. another "stutter" NO 🧈 margarine plea ..

that seems to be the best the fix can do right now

instead of stutters, you just get a bit of a drop, much prefered and playable

No stutters here with vanilla dll's. 5800x paired with 3070@1440p. All settings maxed except texture at medium. Hovering around 110-100 in open world and 95-80 in towns.
what storage you using?

How? My 4090 runs this game at 4k 120fps no issues.

Thank you good sir! This mod finally solves almost all the stuttering. There is only a bit very ocasionally but a lot better than before.

Thanks again!

if stalker 2 is already stuttering on your system then your system is the problem dont you think so ? 4070ti and just 50 fps in this game ? dont tell me you try to play 4k and max settings when the game recomend you to get a Rx7900xtx or a RTX 4080 super for 4k 60 fps ?

dude, 5090rtx also stutters with 9800x3D. No rig can play 4K 120 all the time.

a 4070TI is close enough for 4K 60 if he uses DLSS 66 , but not this case, theres always dips ( in scenes) or certain ladscapes, NO RIG can assure 4K 120 , not even 5090

okey then i tell you a secret, there is no DLSS upscaler in the game xD yes i know that no rig can run 4k 120fps without DLSS and Frame gen. but alot of people think they can even with a 4070ti meanwhile a 4080s struggle in 4k and 60 fps alot of times in alot of games.

You dont know if the 5090 with a 9800x3d will stutter or not the 9800x3d is barely aviable and the 5090 is basicly not aviable right now.
