Cactuars in Costa del Sol
Currently on the Catcuar hunt in Costa del Sol but I can't seem to zoom the camera in, it's just not working, tried controller and mouse.
Any idea what could be causing it?

Its weird, the zoom function is not really intuitive, to get the picture you have to be standing in the right spot. You can be looking at the same Cactuar and depending on where you are standing the zoom won't work or make sense.

So if you can't get the zoom green to take the pic try repositioning your character.

will try moving around a bit more, did try a few positions, couldn't get the shot above 8.1% and it wouldn't let me zoom. was a bit later so maybe today with some fresh eyes lol

found the problem to this was using the FoV mod, had to reset to the Cvar level before it worked.

Thanks for this, had the same problem
change the position of where you're standing. Move closer or further away. Youll get it.

The trouble was an FoV mod preventing the zoom function, where you're standing doesn't stop you being able to zoom in and out with the camera.

You're right but where you're standing will prevent you from getting the right percentage of zoom.. Seems alot of people that are having issues are the ones using mods. Shocking....

perhaps if the game offered such a basic thing as Field of View options then I wouldn't require a mod to not be stuck playing at a 60 degree view, that's fine for a TV screen that generally a bit further away but terrible on PC.
As for other issues, haven't seen many, if any, complaints that are mod related when not directly talking about that mod, plenty of other, non mod related issues going on though for sure.

DId you try changing the Camera distance option.

I did, it's a minuscule change.
