FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH

FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH

Your NVME SSD needs to have a write speed of 5000mbs to play the game
Run benchmark and make sures its hitting this or you will run into problems, 7000mbs is probably what's needed to get the best experience, game is to good to play half assed

Not to mention why in the heck would the game write data to the storage during game play. Read yes...write no. Shaders are precompiled.

Please explain how you got to this conclusion. lmao

Then why so many with SSD report problems and they have great systems getting high frames

I don't believe you, post video of your specs in NVIDIA app the load the game and walk through the kalm lmao
what posts are you talking about. Point them out please. You mean the very few....or the one and only being your post. No current game including this one requires transfer speeds like that. Thats ridiculous.

There's pages of post complaining about this and its all over reddit, jesus christ, the attempt at gaslighting

The game doesn't need a high write speed LOL. Say you know nothing about computers without saying it. I'm playing on a standard non nvme SSD, and it plays just fine. Games do NOT need fast write speeds - only fast read speeds. No game, that I have heard of, NEEDS an nvme drive LOL. An nvme is only needed if a game supports DirectStorage, and you want to take advantage of it.

My boot drive is nvme though, but it's only 500GB. So my big games go on my D and E drives. I have an i9-12900K, 64GB RAM, and an RTX 4090. My D and E drives are fast SSDs but not m2 nvme. I have NOT ONCE ever had an issue with loading times on a game running on a regular SSD.

The issue with using a HDD in gaming is a HDD needs to physically move the read/write heads so it has a high seek time to get to a sector to read or write data. SSDs do not need to do this. You don't even need some blazing fast SSD for AAA gaming either. Even a basic one will do because it has virtually no "seek" delay when looking up data.

It was a typo and you a liar

post a video, screen record of your system specs, boot the game and walk through Kalm

I BET YOU IT'S NOT FUN IF YOU'RE ON A NON NVME SDD

Put up or shut up

Your claims are utterly ridiculous if not outright misinformation.
I play the game with a regular old SATA SSD which does not come anywhere near the speeds you talk about, and I have had absolutely no issues with playing the game.

If you have issues playing the game smoothly on anything less than what you posted, then you have a bottleneck in your system somewhere

In this very same thread, somebody said it's not the speed, the game is just messed up you will have problems regardless

yet you want me to believe you are on an OLD SATA SSD slower than the base ps5 SSD that it comes with, and you want me to believe you have no texture pop in this game

YOU ARE LIAR, like I SAID POST A VIDEO OF YOY WALKING THROUGH THE KALM WITH NO TEXTURE POP IN
Can confirm with a 5000w/r nvme ssd and no stutter.
Too lazy to install on a slow ssd or hdd to see the difference.
The game uses DirectStorage it's in the game files so a fast SSD is a nice plus.

5000mb/sec most certainly is not, the recommend is 1000mb/sec + They discussed the caching and load on their forum and feedback.

While most nvmie 4.0 drives are 5000mb- 7500mb/sec, The performance optimal required are not that high simply because that is what you have.

Older SSD's will struggle a bit, but if a gamer is 1200mb/sec and higher they will not have any load degradation.

IF they have stutter that is a different issue. Pop outside the games settings, then it is a combo of drive load and memory speed.

.. in laymen terms.. PCIE 4.0 or BETTER 😤..

And if your pc specs does meet not ONLY the minimum but exceeds the recommended HW specs, and you still have issue's ingame ... BET your golden coin GIL on it that it's caused by BAD BAD GAME CODING ... and or .. more often than not OS / gpu drivers !!

OP is just going on PS5 speeds but many devs even insomniac have stated multiple times that they did not even use the full speed.
MY GPU read and write output is pretty heavy but Disk usage is next to nothing running around the world no perceivable stutter and I am very sensitive to it.

Fake, im playing ultra 60fps with no stutter with a 3500mb/s nvme

you are just dealing with the pop in, the drive is slower than PS5 SSD drive, but whatever you wanna tell yourself
You said he couldn't play the game. He's saying he can. Whether or not he has pop-in isn't relevant.
I don't know if it needs to be that fast. I originally installed this on an SSD that only had a 600mbs read speed and that was too slow. I had a lot of frame drops and texture pop ins. I made some space on my nvme which runs on PCIe 3.0 at about 3500mbs and that seems to be fine for me.
I do think it needs to be nvme drive and not sata ssd as the sata interface just doesn't have the speed needed whereas an nvme drive as long as it's 1TB minimum will use Direct Storage which kind of negates the need for high-speed access as the GPU has direct access.

This game uses a broken version of DirectStorage, even on my crucial P5 with a speed of 6000+mb/s has stutters and even if I turn on momentum cache the drive becomes 12000+ Mb/s and still stutters.

Now apart from Dead Space Remake this is the only game that stutters (dead space remake has unfixable traversal stutter).

To the OP, you have been going on at everybody about how it has to be a certain speed and they've been telling you it's not that. NOW I'M TELLING YOU, learn to research things a bit and you will see that you're talking out ya arse!
