There are far to many mini games.
Costa Del Sol and Golden saucer are so close together I dont even want to play through it. Queens blood being forced so you interact with a new character that I honestly could not care less about. Wish you could skip it,

Why does this even need to be said? It is almost like you have never played a video game before.
You actually cant skip the ones in costa del sol. Theyre part of the main story and progression block you.

just gacha design

This is what happened when the new generation of gamers started being a thing.
Zero patience and must complain about everything.
I absolutely understand complaining when things are badly balanced or performance/porting issues, but... these mini games really aren't an issue to be complaining about..

You only need to do 3 of the whole lot. 3. That amounts to a whopping 4 minutes. If 4 minutes is too much, then stop playing games and ruining things for the rest of us who actually enjoy games.

What a Noob... Final Fantasy Games have always been filled with with them.. also if you are talking about Golden saucer thats what it was in the OG and we used to LOVE them.. You do REALIZE you can skip most mini games right? but then you would be missing out on one the things that made FF 7 OG special

You seem to think I am really young or something, guess what when FF7 came out people hated the mini games then as well. Fort Condor, Dolphin, sector seven escape, chocobo race and great glacier chief among them. One thing you can say about them though is they would be pretty far apart. In Rebirth my complaint is I don't like them, the unskippable ones are all forced together with almost no actual game play in-between them and there is no skip like in cut scenes. They offer no challenge they are just a time sink let me have the option to skip em.

I agree, the pacing is abysmal. Basically if a section is ten minutes long in the original then it's an hour in the remake. It's tiring especially when what you're dealing with is padding rather than meaningful content. It's appealing to the deeply flawed logic that game length and value for money are the same thing, rather than the quality of the content itself. I also kind of hate the combat, it's far too convoluted for real time combat and doesn't feel intuitive at all. It's like they've tried to convert everything that was in the original regardless of whether it still works between transitions. And no, it's not a skill issue. I'm progressing through the game, I'm just not enjoying it. FF7 Remake had similar issues but I enjoyed it enough to get 100% achievements. Rebirth feels like it's taken everything I didn't like in remake and dialled it up to 11. Costa Del Sol is a good example. Making me play silly mini games just to get to the beach and move the plot along is daft. I hate card games so making it compulsory to progress didn't fill me with joy.

Nah they are fun and the ones you don't want to do you can just fail for the most part, with rewards obtainable in other ways or with just unique rewards that aren't BiS for a build. The mini games and prompts are an ode to the original and I think they are done well. The people who say they didn't like the original mini games are not the majority. You can skip the queensblood tournament, you can skip/fail alot of them and even skip cutscenes on replays which considerably shortens the time spent. Queens blood is very similar to triple triad and it's, imo, another very fun card game to come out of an FF game. The idea that any FF card game is "polished" is a bit absurd. Triple Triad isn't a very complex game but yet it's is very fun and even has its own app.

you only have to do 2 in costa, you can manage that. it is true to the spirit of the original game so if you don’t like it just play something else

There is almost 0 content like this in all the peak FF titles. 6-9

Card game in 8 and 9 are optional. Card tournament in 9 is almost entirely optional. Hunting festival in lindblum ties into the main mechanics of the game. Chocobo Forest and all that its all optional.

If youre not willing to lame out springs/shrines/browser game crap you miss out on like half the entire content in this game. Theres mobile/browser game crap iin actual quests.

People back then didnt mind it because it WAS NOT THERE.

Cope and seethe, 50% of the game is complete trash that i could play by googling "minigame to play in browser". Its ridiculous.

Yeah games tend to make in world card games so they can put them on mobile and monetise it. Gwent comes to mind but there was probably another that came first.
I imagine in due time we'll get Queen's Blood skip mods or maybe mini-game skip mods. Witcher 3 had a Gwent skip mod, though not sure how easy/hard it'd be to make a mod like that. I personally love Queen's Blade and I didn't mind the mini games either, but I can see them not appealing to everyone. Sadly they're part of the game and you can't skip them, maybe they should have been put into the game in a way that didn't "force" the player to play them, or maybe give an option to skip mini-games. You can get some gear/equipment from playing mini-games though, also some strong Queen's Blade cards.

It literally was there, especially in 8 and 9 and your "peak" FF list is hilarious. 4-9 were peak, 12 and 13-2 are also in that list as well as tactics and it's remake. I can recall many aspects of mini games in 9 alone. Methinks you aren't really a true fan.

This isnt true in regards to FF. They made card games in their games years before cell phones could even have apps lmao.

wild take, the original ff7 had a lot of minigames that were mandatory to the story. this is a remake of ff7, so for you to expect that they won’t be here is just a dumb opinion to have

As far as I remember QB is not mandatory, on the trip from Costa del Sol to the Golden Saucer you can skip the entire tournament if you talk to an NPC who is right next to the desk

And after leaving the ship you are forced to play the game. And besides that, you are also forced to watch cutscenes for all that stuff, i.e. on the ship, you have to speak with this and that and watch this after quiting the tournament. You have to skip a looooooot of useless dialogues and cutscenes just to get back to the action, or a meaningful step in the story.

ff games have a lot of cutscenes, we like it. you new to ff games?

you only have to do a few minigames in costa and you don’t even have to win iirc. the boat card event can be skipped. maybe you should just uninstall and play a game that you prefer instead of crying that you bought a game that you didn’t research enough
