First thing first: did you verify files?
I'll verify again, but I have done so before.
Just avoid combats? You can play Queens Blood card game.
Time to do the FF7 Rebirth Pacifist run and become a legendary Queen's Blood player, Sephiroth will have to wait xD
Exactly, it gives him some time for group therapy with other people having their mom being bred in industrial container and doped to Mako.
If you are on Radeon, it might be helpfull to roll back to previsous driver. Some people were crashign because of that.
The most important thing you need to know:
- Combat simulator fights seem to always work
- if you have a certain fight that keeps crashing, try avoiding the fight
- I have tried a variety of different settings that people said had an effect; windowed and 30fps limit. This seems to sometimes avoid a crash issue when having 60 or 120fps limit would crash, but i've also gotten situations where it didn't do anything. In which case shutting down my pc, and then turning it on again has helped. (don't do restart, bc it doesn't fully reset windows)
I've just now played for 4 hours without crashes after restarting my pc. 1080p, 120fps limit, all max settings, but shadows, fog on low. and npc shadow distance on 0, and npc distance on 0.
What's weird is that this morning i start up my pc and i get crashes constantly. So while shutting down and turning on again might work, having just booted your system doesn't guarantee it.
i dunno. good luck.
It almost seems like there is some sort of issue with the game using particle effects that only appear in combat. Maybe the game fails to load them properly and hangs up. I've also noticed using different resolutions and lower settings CAN sometimes extend the amount of time I spend in combat before a crash, but they still occur. The combat simulator did crash once on the Titan fight. I hope someone can get the word out of this particular issue to the devs so they can figure out the root cause.
And dear god it was almost a year.
Perhaps it's a CPU issue.
The combat simulator is less CPU intensive than towns and stuff. And Titan is one of the more intensive enemies, that might have more CPU stuff going on in the background than the other enemies.
Otherwise it might depend on enemy type / particle effect type.
I've noticed crashes with the following enemies:
- Orcs
- Wolves and Mandragoras
- The last grasslands Beck's bandits quest. The one with a robot in it.
-
The times i was able to avoid a fatal error while i was getting them constantly from the same save file, was when i did a fight super fast and the enemies were not able to attack.
