Don't support anything from Square Enix
- Localization ESG/DEI in all your games for years
- sponsorship in ESG/DEI advertising and campaign
- Censorship ESG/DEI
- anti-fun policies that remove content from the game

There are endless forums talking about this nonsense, search, and of course, don't use reddit for this search.

I was banned here, the most pathetic justification they gave. I was called all the derogatory adjectives, but for using "morons" they banned me for 1 week. That was supposed to be a warning at most. That's how the system protects itself.

You see this same type of system in the judiciary and in the internal departments of companies. You can't question it, or they will gradually silence and punish you.

Yeah DEI is like an STD from the moment you hear the letters apparently. You never function the same again, might as well be hydrophobia.

For example, in this game there are several animations that you don't have access to on the PS5, but they were discovered on the PC because of the free camera.

The game itself is full of archetypes that are more reminiscent of California than Japan, so yes... it's a DEI product.

If this is DEI then i think I will support them more, this game is fun
While I consider ESG/DEI indeed as a serious problem I tend to buy games that entertain me and give me a good time.

and does it matter? obviously the problem is not whether it is fun or not, it is a matter of principle. I don't want the standard that Square Enix normalizes to be what the Japanese industry will follow.

im pretty sure that for a video game, in which the entire purpose is fun, the argument of "is it fun" is objectively the most important question
