Frame drops when moving camera
I noticed the frames start to drop kinda heavy when spamming the camera back and forth really fast it even drops when just slightly moving it. I know this can be normal sometimes in games but it feels extreme here. My game will go from 100 to 90 down to like 30 for a split second at times. Wonder if anyone else has had this issue. Just assumed my specs would be able to play at max settings at 1080p. I will also say that my gpu is only being 80% used when playing ff7 rebirth.

Specs
4070 super 12vram
32g ram
Samsung 980 pro nvme m.2
Ryzen 9 3900x

How much is the game filling up your VRam?
I was pretty much at exactly at 12GB VRam used in the grasslands.

Probably a VRAM issue. Trying setting background quality from "Ultra" to "High".

tweak your settings. you'll be ok. Remember, this game is better than lot of recent western pc games as to optimization but definitely not optimized.

I run on
cpu 7800x3d
gpu 4070 ti super
ram gskill trident 6000 cl 30 , 32 gb size.
nvme ssd.

the game runs fine.
Yeah not a deal breaker for me at all was just wondering if it was on my part or not.

Pretty unfortunate I'm still enjoying the game hopefully the fans or square themselves fix the issue!

This is not a VRAM issue I have a 12gb 4070 Ti and I get the same issue moving the camera running around causes my frames to dip from 120 to 90 to 80 sometimes and instantly recovers, I monitored VRAM usage using Riva Tuner looking at process memory usage not allocation, and my game was only using 8gb while this was happening.

I have the same problem. But I have the framerate limited to 60, and it drops into the mid-fifties while rotating the camera fast.
