generally screen tearing happens when you are pushing more fps than your displays refresh rate
MAke sure in windows you set teh display at 4k (PC NOT HD)
Set the Refresh for the resolution at 120hz if it is the max.
make sure in the video card VRR is also enabled.
in game is as well.
set game at 4k + refesh 120hz + sync to VRR
cappign and vsunc is not the solution it actually hinders, he most likely did not set the video card, and display rezf for 4k PC + 120hz + VRR/ALMM which is always better than vsync
I tried setting it to 116 fps in the Nvidia control panel, but I don't think it did anything cause relaunching the game still gives me screen tearing
I still get screen tearing with VRR when my FPS is higher than 144 without a cap
Don't use vsync other wise yo uneed to set yoru rez to 60 hz.
GPU side:
CHANGE RESOLUTION:
set : 3840 X 2160 UNDER PC (DO NOT USE HD)
SET REFRESH RATE NEXT TO IT TO 120hz
IN system.... graphics... advanced make sure you have VRR enabled for windows 10 and 11
In game refresh set to VRR
set refresh 120hz
frame rate should fluciate. check yoru tv if it has a game bar to see FPS in corner and see if it states VRR: on
Even if it goes higher such as 130 it should not tear.
I have a Hisense 4k 144hz and set game to 120hz. it never tears.
MAke sure windows is right, tv is showign VRR is on. A gpu can show on its end higher but doesnt mean the vrr is in sync.
ALSO!!
make sure on GPU and tv the gynch or the other amd style is enabled on both the GPU and tv.
set gpu to Gsynch or if on a amd its version.
most tv's say FREESYNC it also msut be on on tv or it truely is not VRR
Set up Gsync:
CHECK MARK in both enable gsync----compatible and
Enable in Windowed and full screenmode
IF its not it will not work for this game.
below Enable for slected display model (the tv)
SO glad it helped. I will be honest I had the SAME ISSUE at first.
Needs to be a 1 click do all settings for VRR/Gsync windows settings but no you have to many. and the window mode check many miss.
I use HIsense u7k and u8k tv's both 144hz. there is the game bar in menu button to display FPS and to verify vrr is working and almm. other tv's also have it.
