Ps5 controller keeps disconnecting [SOLVED (for me)]

Hi there!
My ps5 controller keeps disconnecting and it doesn't matter if I play corded or wireless..
It is seriously only THIS game it happens with 😞
I can play any other game the whole day (like 8-12 hours) with no problems, so it isn't the controller or the cord.
I have also tried turning off steam inputs and still no dice.
I have searched for any answer for HOURS, but I find nothing, only that this was a problem in Remake too 😞

So if anyone with knowledge maybe knows any way to fix this (if it's possible)
Then I would take any tips 😞

Try shutting down pc, also check for any windows updates. Must play wired for haptic function to work. There is options menu to check if ps5 controller is fully functioning. If its greyed out its not working correctly. Mine working perfectly. Hope everything works out

SOunds like a WIndows level issue you need to figure out. Playstartion has a pc troubleshooting page and some software that can be used to test the controller and update firmware. You may also want to try another known good usb cable.

I haven't tried the game after trying out the fixes yet, but I will soon ^^

Are you using DS4Windows? Does it disconnect once you press Rectangle button?

That is a quirk of the combination of the game and DS4Windows. DS4W simulates an xbox input but your game also ready the dualsense input simultanousely if you haven't hid it in the HiDHide tool.

If you in fact do use DS4W, just turn it off while playing this game. FF7 has native dualsense support so no need to use another tool

I have DS4 but am not using it for Rebirth ^^

I have followed the troubleshooting steps on Playstations page and am gonna try the game now ^^

if the controller can let me play longer than 3 hours without a disconnect, then I will update ^^

I didn't have the Playstation Accesories app installed, so am gonna see if that might maybe help. :3

update: 2 hours in and the controller haven't disconnected once ^^

What i did was turn off steam controller support, restart pc, reset the controller via the small hole in the back, and also download playstation accessories.

I do not know what helped stabilize the connection, but those are all the steps I did, and it seems to have worked~ ^^

Update 2: problems are back today, so I switched USB port.
Now I have rumble in my controller but it still disconnects.
I tried the official ps cord, but still nothing..
I am starting to accept that I can only play 2-3hs at a time 😅

You don’t need that in windows 11. All you need is a usb cable to the pc from the dualsense.
