How's the optimization?
Is the optimization any good or it's a piece of trash like FF16?

I got 20fps in ff16 at 4k dlaa max (and that was in a good area other areas are worse), In this game I can get over 80fps at 4k max dlaa.

However the game is so stuttery you have to lock to 60 for smoothness

but if ff16 is a 0/10 for optimisation this game is like a 3.5

Game ain't that good looking so its nothing impressive performance wise but its WAY better then something like Hogwarts Legacy, Elden Ring, Dragon Dogma, Jedi survivor, etc

i keep complaining but people keep telling me its unfounded or what not.
Even tough i see a bunch of posts made about the game having issues.

I wonder if the people saying that everything is ok are not actually bots from square enix??
At least most of them at this point.

Which is the model of you GPU? I have a Tuf Gaming RTX 3060 12GB.

It's hard to judge... almost all the reviews so far pin it as beautifully optimized, and it also runs smoothly for me. So I assumed well optimized and one of Square's best ports ever before visiting the forums. But here many report stutters, bugs and glitches that don't seem to show up on the reviews, and it seems very unlikely they are all wrong. So my best guess is the reviewers have more powerful builds or are more experienced with settings, drivers etc.

it runs way better then FF16 in my mind the graphic is a little bit more clear and it is fine.
FF16 runs fine too but you can see that the game lack in Graphical Quality compared to FF7 when it comes to Clearness of the hair or the movement of the charakter itself feels way worse then anything else in FF16.

Yes the reviewers have powerfull builds or do not try to run a game in 4k and maxed out settings with a RTX 3070/4070 series or below.
Of course you get problems when you try to Race a Car with a weak motor or outdated car against a Formel 1 car.

Average at best. You got lighting issues. Everything that is animated outside gameplay, those sequences are choppy. Transition into areas aren't very smooth either.

Playing on a 4K television with Ryzen 5 3600 and 6700XT, getting around 40 frames per second (would be probably around 80 fps on my 1080p PC monitor) with all settings at High, so I'm pretty happy with its performance. Haven't noticed any stuttering either.

Way better than FF16. I can run this game 5120*1440p @ 100-120fps without dlss.

In FF16, i need dlss to achieve 80~100fps
Played the first three hours. No issues 4k maxed at 120fps (cap)

Intel 9960x
4090
64gb quad channel ram
NVME

Running great and even better if ya drop in dlss enabler/optiscaler for fsr3.1
9800x3d
7900xt w/driver 24.12.1
1440p Resolution upscale 1.5x to 4k getting 80-120fps

I do have some stuttering issues, but nowhere as near bad as recent games are. Framerate stutters happens in populated areas, which seems to be the par for the course for a game as big as this.

RTX 4070 Ti Super
AMD Ryzen 5800x @ 4.5Ghz
DDR4 32gb @ 3200Mhz
Installed on an NVME SSD.

So far, the performance feels good, aside from the stutters.

people have been saying that but i have been watching for it and have not yet seen it and nobody has shown proof. i'm still in grasslands so it could be later, but i am skeptical because the reports of that i have seen have come from people speculating without actually looking at the numbers
