how to change my synergies?

trying to romance Aerith and only have Tifa synergy skill equipped any help?

In the folio you have to unlock your synergy attack with Aerith. Then you have have her in the party and have the requisite amount of ATB bars used as usual. The first two are with Tifa, Barret and Red. You have to level your party up to level 2 iirc.

Also Tifa is superior lol.

Synergies vary depending on the character you're using and all of them should be equipped at the same time given that you've unlocked them, so holding R1 while playing Aerith will have different synergies than while controlling Cloud. To unlock new synergies you need to go to the fancy vending machine at the rest spots you can fast travel to and upgrade the skill tree for each character. The ones that you need are the big orange ones with "Synergy Ability" and "Synergy Skill" written over them

Im not using controller what is the synergy map on keyboard? for now just want to figure out how to allocate it.

I believe it's locked to 5, 6, 7 and 8, you can't really allocate them. They change automatically based on your current party, which is a maximum of 3. So you play 1 character and have two supporting characters you can switch to while in battles, so the one you play will have 2 synergy skills for one team member and 2 skills for the other. Synergy abilities, on the other hand, are in the battle menu that makes everything slow down when invoked and require ATB.
