Lossless scaling results
So I tried out loseless scaling with frame generation at 3.0, 2X, and 100% Resolution Scaling. I was able to get 40/85 or so with it on, also am using NIS scaler with the sharpener set to 4. It looks pretty good. If you set the sharpener above that then the grass gets too much noise and same for Tifa and Cloud's hair. It still looks kind of nice on max sharpness but I don't like the way the grass/foliage looks on max sharpness. There is still somewhat of a small blurry filter in the PC port, though not nearly as noticable or bad as the base PS5 version. The sharpener does get rid of any blurriness, so that is a huge plus right there.

Really at this point the only thing that is noticeable and bothering me is the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pop-in, but I really don't think that can be fixed. It's probably a hardware issue on my end, probably don't have enough VRAM, but I got 16GB, so idk. The other thing I noticed is you HAVE to set your background detail to MEDIUM and Texture Resolution to MEDIUM with MIN RESOLUTION in-game set to 66%. That's the only way I can get 40/85, if I set them both to high then I only get 30/45, so really I'm getting 85-90 FPS from frame generation, and the sharpness scaler makes things look a bit smoother/clearer despite the textures being set to medium so it kind of helps. This is really the BEST I can make the game look with my what I have, which is a 2060S and a Ryzen 3700X. I have everything else set to HIGH, but texture resolution and background detail texture are the two FPS suckers in the game. The Grasslands has horrible pop-in but it has to load a lot of assets, so maybe it's just that specific area that is really bad, not sure. I will admit that lossless scaling does make the game look much clearer/detailed.

Just felt like sharing my results if anyone wanted to try those settings themselves, again, at this point I think this is the best I'll be able to get the game to look/run until we get actual patches or driver updates. I should probably have taken before/after screenshots to show the difference, but the difference after applying scaling through loseless is very noticeable. The blurriness vanishes, clarity improves on everything, and the animation is much faster/smoother.
