I assume most reviewers have the latest hardware and don't run into these issues.
If you dont have Ancient Hardware the port is good, if you have Ancient hardware (everything that is 3 generations old we have RTX 5000 and Rx 9000 as current.) then The game is not for you.
If you have Low end or mid end hardware and used DLSS only to get playable FPS then this game is not for you.
i called it when the reviews released but digital foundry didnt get a review copy.
Tells you a lot about SQENIXs confidence in the port.
framerate is decently high but its useless because the frametimes and stuttering is so bad you have to cap it 60 for it to be playable and even then it still stutters
Its not terrible and no way near as bad as 16 but calling it good would be being too positive
It requires a newish GPU so the specs are fairly high. RTX 2000 and the Radeon 6000 or newer iirc. If you have that, it's fairly well optimized. I've heard that even older GPUs will run the game alright, but you'd have to tweak the ini files to disable some effects for it to work.
On the other hand, the game really does look very blurry and pixelated. The only AA options are TAA, TAAU and DLAA, and you can't turn off AA or motion blur. Maybe it's more acceptable on Nvidia cards and 4K, but I'm playing on 1080p with an AMD card using TAAU and everything that's not a main character on a close up cutscene looks blurry like someone smeared vaseline on my screen. Then there's the ghosting too. I saw a ghosting effect just from a character waving their hand in a cutscene. The game simply does not look as good as you'd expect from a game that's exclusive to the current generation.
The game suffers from heavy stuttering in some high end machines, doesn't include other common upscaling technologies (FSR, XeSS), pop-ins are still in the game and at times can be very noticeable, shadows aren't the best, especially indoors, they look very low res, with very jagged edges, no mouse support on menus (amazing for a pc port).
