Performance Upgrade for NVIDIA users
I was searching for performance solutions here and found something that could help a lot

It will require Lossless Scaling, but only the frame gen function

1. Open Nvidia Control Panel
2. Select Manage 3D configurations
3. Select Program Configs
4. Choose the FFVII Rebirth game (If necessary, should be found in add program)
5. Change the Properties: V-Sync: Off and Max FPS: 59 FPS
6. Open the Game
7. Open Losless Scaling
8. In the Frame Generation area, choose LSFG 3.0, Mode X2 and Max Resolution Scale (Feel free to go under the resolution and change something else, but I'm using this settings right now)
9. Apply and be happy :cuphead:

Lossless Scaling has CPU overhead and can introduce input lag, be warned. But yes it works.
i turned off Vsync and limited it to 60 and i swear its running better im testing in heavy populated areas

I tried Lossless Scaling with the x2 frame gen, unfortunately the motion blurring artifact around the characters is just unbearable to me. This is nothing like the real DLSS frame gen
It's working fine for me now by just putting all settings on low as well as VRR

I don't have blur artifact around the characters
or at least i barely see it on certain scenario, but it's very rare

Tested on a 3070, if on a 1080p screen, use DLDSR considering how blurry and fuzzy this game is at 1080p. In game us DLSS anti aliasing and set 100%max/66%min res scale.

Enable LSFG 3.0, x2 mode at max res scale and use FSR or NIS scaling on top for the sharpness filter, set sharpness to your liking. Lock the framerate to a lower fps if you want a less stuttery consistent experience.

This way you'll get smooth gameplay along with a clean sharp image.

Edit: Played with it a bit longer and you do not want to use frame generation on a 8GB card, youl'll eventually get performance hiccups unless you are willing to run textures on low.

I tried lossless and I didn't like it. Even at base 60 fps to 120, it the input lag was noticeable. I just instead modded my DLSS to the new DLSS 4 transformer...looks and feels better
Lossless scaling is terrible. You can only hope they just add dlss 3 and fsr 3 frame gen officially.

I don't see why it is not there, unless there is an problem with it being an old UE4 build or something but I doubt that

What are you talking about? How did you mod it? Any guide?

Why 59 and not 60 FPS?

Hi, how did you manage to enable DLDSR resloutions ingame?
Performance solutions? I just cranked everything as high as it will go and generally get about 115 fps in over world at 5120x1440 and I haven't seen it dip below about 90 fps for short periods.

You don't, you enable it in the driver and set your desktop resolution, the game in borderless mode will default to the DLDSR resolution.

It's the new DLSS transformer model that came with the recent Cyberpunk 2077 update, just copy the nvngx_dlss.dll from the Cyberpunk 2077\bin\x64 folder to the \FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH\Engine\Plugins\DLSSSubset\Binaries\ThirdParty\Win64 folder. Make sure to do a backup of the original nvngx_dlss.dll. If you don't have Cyberpunk 2077 you'll need to google it.

Whether the new transformer model is running or not, there is a performance hit while switching the DLSS files and it does generally give a cleaner sharper image where i don't require the use of extra sharpening filters where I had before.

Yeah I know right?!?!!? My dad's Bugatti's in the shop too. Such a drag....
As I understand it, we should be getting DLSS 4 on the 30th with a backport for 20- and 30-series cards. Should look better than Lossless Scaling for Nvidia users.
