This is False, i have both a rtx 3060 12 gb and a 3080. on the 3060 12 gb it runs good at 1080p with everything high/ultra and dlss. I notice it sometimes dips at 54ish when im at open world but its the crappy unreal engine this game is using. Seriously, whoever made the unreal engine should be fired. One of the worst engines for gaming (this same engine is used for the dead space remake, marvel rival and silent hill remake. its trash). Even the RE engine that runs Resident Evil 4 remake runs better and looks better....
Ryzen 7950X

WD SN850X Gen 4 M.2 NVME SSD
CPU and GPU on custom watercooling loop, GPU doesn't get hotter than 60 C
LG E9 OLED TV - 120Hz, G-Sync Compatible
NCP VSync On, Low Latency Ultra
In-Game VRR on
DLSS with max resolution 100, minimum res 66
Ryzen 7 5700X
RTX 4070

Maxed out settings 1440p and frame rates range between 75-95 fps in open areas and 60-70 fps in populated areas. I've seen it dip to the 30's a couple of times too. Overall, I still enjoy the game. Hopefully, Square patches it out
^I think its the unreal engine. i have 2 systems one with a rtx 3060 12gb and a new one with a 3080. Im playing this game on the old system: Amd Ryzen 7 5700gG, 32gb ram, rtx 3060 12gb and the game installed on a 1tb nand, the setting im using is at 1080p, ultra/high, with dlss and get inside area around 60+fps, outworld 54ish-60fps with some stutters and dips here and there (but i blame the trash unreal engine). It playes a little better if i set from ultra to high with some settings in medium.
The game runs fine on a SATA SSD, I'm running of a Samsung 870 Evo with zero issues on one of my rigs.
What do you think this game needs with 6GB\s of storage data?
Turn off reflex, it's broken in many unsupported games. Also switch to dlss 3.80.10.0.
Second, I tried with the NCP Low Latency Mode set to off initially. Same result.
Third, I've actually put the DLSS 4 DLL in this game's relevant folder from Cyberpunk 2077 and set it to Preset J via NvidiaProfileInspector. DLSS does not affect this type of hitching in any way.
Fourth, I have the FFVIIHook Rebirth version running, and I'm using this INI, tweaked for my specific GPU and display: https://www.nexusmods.com/finalfantasy7rebirth/mods/3?tab=description
That INI still doesn't address the hitching. This is not something that happens in VII Remake Intergrade.
EDIT: After using the Special K injector, I realized that for some reason the game was not activating VRR and was in Composed Flip mode. I used Special K to restart my GPU driver, VRR is now engaged and the game is now in Hardware Independent Flip mode. This reduced the hitching dramatically. It is still there in parts, but no longer unbearable.
I can highly recommend using Special K to help fix this issue, it doesn't break the game at all.
Ok glad you figured it out. I didn't need special k, vrr is working fine for me.
Also I'd advise against "dlss4" -- it's actually 3.10 -- because it makes the game look worse, all alpha on trees flicker like crazy. The latest version of dlss is not always the best in all games.
Disable your OC and see if it runs fine.
