Is that one on nexus because I don't see it?
Thinking before posting, not the forte of most Steam forum goers.
All settings to low and minimum scaling to 66% and i've seen a very solid 30fps throughout almost my entire time with it. There's been very minor drops in Nibelheim and Kalm but nowhere near as bad as a lot of videos on youtube suggest weirdly.
The game was never going to run as well as on a PS5, but I do agree this game being verified for steam deck is a joke. On low settings, 720p it barely runs at 30, mostly 25 for me. It even struggles if I turn on dynamic res between 66-100%. Being verified means nothing most of the time anyway.
This has not been my experience so i would say that it's more likely a you issue, the game runs great and certainly isn't a case of 'bad optimisation'. It's a miracle it runs at all, so i'd argue it's actually quite well optimised considering the hardware it's running on here.
It doesn't matter how you want to believe that it "runs great" when it can't run with 30 stable frames. Even on Youtube they have reported it.
If you mean Kalm i've done the second city and it was fine.
