well now i just get a crash notification and game won't launch..
I tried what he suggested it's in the FINAL FANTASY REBIRTH/END/BINARIES/WIN64 I deleted both files and the game didn't launch gonna verify game cache and reacquire the files that way and see if makes a difference.
I'm having the same pop in issues but i have a RTX 7800 XT video card 32 gigs of DD5 and a i5-14600k realistically I shouldn't be having pop in issues and i've tried all the different video settings and still have pop in issue. Otherwise I average 120 fps according to AMD Adrenaline if I had to guess it's either the game needs to be patched or AMD needs to release a new driver.
Didn't have any issues in chapter 1 but after reaching chapter 2 the main city something "pops in" loading the texture from a low res to a crisp image but it is very frustrating and immersion breaking.
im halfway through the verify method now.. it's mostly noticeable in buildings.. also getting butter smooth fps.. ps5 uses nvme.. if this is because are ssd's are too slow then this port isnt as good as i thought..
verifying them and getting them back did nothing to fix.. they are back but still same issue.. do you know how to delete the cache to restart shaders? if not then it's time to reinstall drivers i suppose.
Sorry, the same method worked in ratchet and Clank to fix the lag spikes, this game must require DS to run.
I was wondering the same thing as in Chapter 1 I had zero issues with pop ins or freezes I updated my AMD drivers and it seems i'm running into pop-in issues in chapter 2 if you find the shader location let me know please I'd like to see it recompile like it did on the first launch.
yeah, i can't find it.. i just reinstalled drivers and it doesn't allow me to recompile shaders..
In Sony's other games with it, it doesn't seem to have issues but its clear direct storage can help issues sadly unlike R&C FF16 and Rebirth require the files to work so unless someone makes a mod we will never know how the game runs without them
I deleted the files in the Documents folder C://Users/Documents/My games/FINAL FANTASY REBIRTH/SAVED and the file in there was D3DDriver gonna delete that update my windows and see if it makes a difference on restart fingers crossed it'll recompile the shaders.
disregard the last comment if you saw it.. i did what you did and it gave me a very brief shader recompile but the effects were still the same.. in fact trying after reinstalling driver crashed my game.. probably corrupted my driver and need a ddu now as well
Deleted said files does make the game do a brand new compiling of shaders that being said even after the hoops i jumped through I am still seeing pop-in issues honestly it loads in under half a second but seeing the low res textures turn crisp after turning my camera 90 degrees is frustrating and like I said I didn't have any issues in chapter 1 at alll it wasn't until chapter 2 that the pop in became a issue.
i see it in chapter 1 now.. right as i get in the town.. just turning camera and seeing my disk spike to 100 and muddy textures everywhere that weren't there on first playthrough.. the new compile only took 5 seconds.. the first one took a bit longer.. something is missing.. others also having issues though.. looks like we are SOL until they patch it or we just need to upgrade..
I can't fathom why'd I would need too upgrade when my average frames are 120 and I have a NVME ssd with 32 gigs of Ram plus a 14th gen intel with updated Bios. I think we are either ♥♥♥♥ out of luck or waiting for a patch.
oh you do have an nvme?? so it's not just a slow transfer speed issue.. hmm.. well i guess all we can do is wait and voice the concern and hope others do so a patch comes. The problem only gets worse the more you play.. so some shader cache is getting full.. i don't understand why?
