12_1 is not supported, you need 12_2 for GPU and Operating System (Windows 11)
Download and run GPU-Z. If the program says that you have DirectX 12 feature level 12_1 or lower, then your GPU is not supported and you are out of luck.
You do not need Windows 11.
So long as your version of windows 10 is 2004 or later, it will support 12_2.
what GPU or os is Delivering you Direct X 12_3 or higher xD ?
i hear that microsoft was updating Dx12 on windows 10 but not sure if it is the newest version or not but if you have experience with it then everything is okey
DirectX raytracing
Mesh shaders
Variable rate shading
Sampler feedback
I guess it makes sense that the game doesn't support older versions, but its disappointing that they didnt use the time it took to port to PC to add settings that disable those features.
Can I play ff7r on this PC?
No game wont run on that MX550 it is just supporting Dx12_1 but you need hardware that support 12_2
Even if it will support Dx12_2 (it does not) it wont be enough to render the game in the lowest possible settings with 10 fps.
EDIT: I was mistake, searched after I posted and should have done it in the other order.
It will not work. Needs DX 12_2, that has 12_1.
i googled it the MX550 is supporting just DX12_1, as the GTX 1660 Super.
Since Japan is in a recession and I don’t have much money, I’ll give up for now.
