DX12 Error: "DX12 is not supported on your system" with RTX 3060 Ti
I'm encountering an issue when trying to launch a game.
The error message reads:
"DX12 is not supported on your system. Try running without the -dx12 or -d3d12 command line argument."

Here are my system details:
GPU: RTX 3060 Ti
OS: Windows10 (fully updated)
DirectX Version: 12 (confirmed via dxdiag)
GPU Drivers: Updated to the latest version

If anyone has encountered a similar problem or has suggestions, I would greatly appreciate your input.

Thanks, Here are my specs:
Processor AMD Ryzen 7 5700U with Radeon Graphics 16 CPUs 1.80 GHz
Installed RAM 16.0 GB
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
Edition Windows 11 Home
Per the Dxdiag I have DirectX 12

Is there anything else I need to post?

The next tab says DirectX 12 Ultimate is disabled, is there a way to enable it?

you can't, it's hardware related
you need a dedicated GPU

Min requirements:
AMD Radeon™ RX 6600+ (RX 6600 or above required)
Intel® Arc™ A580+
NVIDIA® GeForce® RTX 2060+ (RTX series required)

Thanks to those who responded.
I checked the store page and the minimum system requirements are
“OS: Windows® 10 64-bit”.
Does it not run on win10?

Does anyone else have it running on win10?

You need to post your gpu.

It just says it is AMD Radeon(TM) Graphics in the device manager

it runs on Win 10 but you have to fully update it to the latest version, or you can't have DX12 ultimate

Then it sounds as if you dont have a dedicated gpu, which is needed.

Your APU apparently doesn't support directX 12 feature level 12_2.

You could download and run GPU-Z, then click on lookup. The program should load a website that shows the feature level of your GPU. If it is 12_1 or lower, then you're out of luck.
Unfortunately, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth needs DirectX 12_2 to run, and if your GPU only supports 12_1 or 12_0, it won’t launch. Your best bet is to upgrade to a 12_2-compatible GPU,

Well that sucks, the website shows it as 12_1. I just bought this computer less than a month ago too. It ran FF7 Remake perfectly. I wish I had my desktop, I had a house fire in November and am dealing with a laptop for now. I just finished Remake a few weeks ago and really wanted to play Rebirth.

I am sorry to hear that. I hope you can get back onto a proper desktop soon and other wish you a quick financial recovery.

My desktop has this: https://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-Gaming-Backplate-06G-P4-1068-KR/dp/B07ZHZL2JB?th=1
Does that one seem like it would work?
