What exactly is the DEI IN THIS I am just curious and why do you feel that updating a darn near 30 yearold game is a bad thing.

he is an example of how toxic the FF fandom is though. he will scream and rage and never admit that his problem is that he is using a pc from a century ago to play a modern game and blaming the devs when it doesn't work. FF fans are truly sad, i don't even like to tell people i am one of them

you're the one out of touch here. just look at successful recent turn based RPG's. Metaphor won all the awards it could last year. Baldur's gate aswell.

if someone is out of touch here is square. because no one asked for whatever this is. hence why the game flopped. and WILL keep flopping until they learn

Square is struggling because they have been failing continuously since the release of XIII to actually represent the kind of game that FF fans want.

Nah, you're the one that's out-of-touch with the fanbase. You have absolutely ZERO comprehension of how the Final Fantasy series is INTENTIONALLY DESIGNED to always be different. They're not supposed to always be for everyone. They're inherently designed to be DIFFERENT.

The franchise sure as hell won't miss the toxic incels and "purists" with no actual knowledge of the franchise...
Must really suck for you lot that even Sakaguchi himself LOVES FFXVI as well. Final Fantasy does not have to be any one set thing. It is DESIGNED to evolve and change.

Personally I like the game I have it on console I bought it for steam I've always been a fan of the final fantasy franchise 7 was like my first big RPG when I was a kid so to see them updated and rework it and give us new little twists here and there with it and you know expand on the story in the lore of the whole thing and in a way that's meaningful and kind of answers a lot of the questions that we had to like think about for 20 something years is nice I think God forbid they added a little bit of multicultural attitudes when you know it's a whole world to f****** people not just all Japanese people or whatever I mean Barrett was like one of the first black people in I think an RPG at least mainstream one I would say but I don't think that they've ever strayed away from their inherent design logic going from the beginning they've been pretty true to the source material at least from my understanding of it and I mean I've been a big fan of at least seven and eight and nine for when they came out each one offers a different little point of view a world view a different kind of thing to explore you know they're unique

It's a shame; they'll draw their conclusions by the time the last part is released, which will probably be affected by Rebirth's results.

Honestly they are still downloading this, it's massive lol. Steam caps at 60mbs for me so tomorrow I will fire it up. And yes they ♥♥♥♥♥♥ us fans with their PS money hatting but the game is dope af.
