The problem is... What, exactly?

Im so far not very impressed with the graphics overall. From the textures that are allover the place,to the lod and the shadow issues you present here. I feel FF7 remake looked more polished as this. Im not that far in yet though, but i am playing it maxed out,but far from impressed so far. Framepacing issues ontop, where "low latency" helped a "bit".
Ultima Jan 23 @ 1:45pm
Huh, you'd think CPU usage would be higher than that. 90 FPS is pretty good for hardly using the CPU.

The shadows, the lod distance shadow is alrdy losing quality as hes right near it. And his usage is quite off. The game needs optmization still.

I would both look pretty subpar.

Some parts look even ps3/360 level like the textures and shadow cascade and what looks like an almost nonexistent AO.

The cut scenes are 11/10 in both games but in actual game-play its hit and miss depending on the area. The lighting models textures animations are all such varying levels of quailty that it completely undermines the parts of the graphics that are amazing

I noticed that 120hz introduces stutter because CPU isn't enough. I have a 5700x3d.

I noticed some differences as I actually played already on PS5 and these differences are actually very pleasant to me:

- Contrast is better. PS5 version lacked good contrast and colors feels wrong the majority of the time. On PS5 it lacks that HDR punch that is so eye candy. This is better on PC. Still not great as Remake was.
- Pop-in is almost gone. Thank God.
- I think I have new glasses now as the game looks very sharp. This is by far the greatest improve.
- Image smearing caused by TAA is gone. But only while using DLSS. I expect this to fix wispers smearing that PS5 version gave but are not present on Remake. Very ugly and annoying. TAA and TAAU are good if image is still. Not good if high frequency details are present or in movement....... if nvidia then DLSS on
any fixes to that? I have the game on ultra and the shadows are the same, It's horrible to see them load a foot away.
Everything runs fine and looks amazing on my pc. I'm running a 3090 with an old 3900x

I don't think this game have .ini files open. We will have to wait a FF7rHook type tool to change that furter.

r.Shadow.MaxCSMResolution=8192 in custom engine ini. Solved. Really have no idea how professional game developers can't include stuff like this.
