"FF7 Rebirth sold poorly on PC release" news incoming in the next months
I wonder why would that be...? Maybe because they think people will upgrade their graphics cards to play a game?

People still using 1080 crying they can't play a new game lmao
it has the same stats as integrade, if you can't play the first, why would you buy the second? Also an rtx2070 is cheap as sin and 3 generations old. you NEED to upgrade if you can't even get something at least that OLD

FWIW, remake didn't require mesh shaders, which brought the bar up to GTX 16XX (~6 years old GPU). You can't go any lower than that. That being said, If someone still has 1080 Ti as a primary gaming GPU, then it's pretty much like having a PS4 and crying that you can't play 2025 games.
Feels like a bait and switch. If it was a stand alone game it wouldn't be a problem but because its in parts it should stay a little consistent.

Actually, it has already broken several records and has become the most played FF+ on PC! Anyway, it sold very well—consider that we're talking about two million (which is great for a launch).

And considering that it’s not like FIFA, where no one buys it after a few months, it's a game that continues to sell for years...
FF7R has done really well and is finally getting all the attention it deserves now, lol

Thing is, if you have a 1080Ti, like I do, you can go far playing basicly everything. Hell even Rebirth can be played with this card. Specs of this card are above many recent ones.

Were do those numbers come from? Not that I'm against them. I hope Square survives their idiotic woke ideas and finish the trilogy with a bang, and I'm happy with the reception Rebirth got on PC so far.

missing support for D3D FL 12_2, namely mesh shaders means this card's dead. Pretty much every new UE5+ game will require them, since, from what I hear, they are easier to work with and perform better. It had a good run, but time for an upgrade.

lol, it's always fun watching all the broke bums on the steam forums melt down every time their 10 year old rigs can't run a new game. ;)

According to Square the game sold fine on PC, and SE usually just comes out and says it when they're disappointed with how one of their games sells.

There's no doubt about that. It was priced optimally and for a 1-year old single player niche title, it got good numbers: https://steamdb.info/app/2909400/charts/
To person who said game wont work on older cards like gtx 1650

There was already a mod or a DLL file mod that fixed so this game is working on these older gpus!

So then what is it?
Is it the game devs or gpu people who didnt want the game to run on older gpus?

Many things w pc just amaze me n this was one of the things i seen of late...

Gtx1650 can be seen on y.tube w the fix n gameplay....happy me n alot of gamers(my older pc to tv even run the game now!)

Keep on gaming u all!

GTX 1650 doesn't support ray tracing, which game manages without. It just looks worse. However, GTX 1650 does support mesh shaders, which is a hard requirement for this game. Without them it will crash on startup. 1080 cannot do them. GTX 1650 running the game is week old news, so what's your point?
This PC Jan 31 @ 2:34pm
people who got a fix to run this on 1650 should be happy it runs on their hardware, and people that can't manage it should upgrade, simple as that, no, square won't downgrade the game so it runs on your 9 years old gpu. ;p
nah, f square. if it was a new title it wouldn't be a problem. Its a modern age disk 2. I'm sure they could do it without mesh shaders. Ill play fromsoft games or anything else instead and let square be a thing of the past. Not there first rodeo with bad ports but easily the worst in every way possible.
