Fatal Crash errors after final flashback scene
I cannot continue the game as I continue to get a Fatal Crash error directly after the final climax scene of the flashback, even attempting to skip the scene does not prevent this....help?

EDIT: After some brute forcing as SirVilleta said, I was able to pass the crash after the 7th time, on my original graphics settings too, so I do not believe any graphics settings are the cause, just the bottleneck itself.

im just getting crashes just from loading a save. Once in a minute passes and get a crash
Same for me :
On 1st chapter when Sephiroth meets Jenova, white screen then "Fatal error" window.

I've changed graphics to the minimum and always the same skeeping the cinematic or not.

Well, I guess I have that to look forward to. I've only had time to play for about 30 minutes today.

Just ran into this issue, myself. No pause menu/unable to skip.

i7-11700k 3.60GHz
32GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070
I succeeded to pass this bug and scene after many many tries and I don't really know how it worked.
The more surprising is that it worked with every higher graphics configuration... (120fps and everything high or max)
I didn't skip the cinematic but sometimes speeding it (x2) and screenshooting.

I hope you'll succeed to pass it like me because it was really frustrating just at the beginning of the game.

Tip : save before opening Claudia's house door to earn some time from checkpoint ;)
I do this tip to: "Tip : save before opening Claudia's house door to earn some time from checkpoint" Then, i skip scene, but in start menu, dont pressing button os skip scenes. And i would put all in low graphics.

I would try about 5 times.

Try to get yours best drivers. I have a RTX NIVIDIA 3050

You, earn an award from me, thank you.

I done this after the 2nd attempt I looked up this thread and after my 3rd attempt this got me past the cutscene.

Has to be a compile of assets being rendered in all at the same time in Kalm because of the flashback ending. It gets bottlenecked and crashes. I have a 2070ti and a ryzen 9 and 128 resource of ram.

Its not a computational error but a graphical one and trying to render Kalm in mass with no restrictions or limitations crashes the game. Just wth kinda renders were these guys chugging in Kalm?

I'm going to try this. The game crashes twice in the same cinematic. Wish me luck...

Edit: Finally worked it! But I done this after the 7th try with the xbox's controller disconnected.

I had this same thing happen. followed SirVilleta87 advice and then BOOM!!! First Try!

Update: OP's advice worked. You can push through the crashing. Thanks a ton!

I am getting the "fatal error" at the reactor cut scene when facing off with Sephiroth. I've tried copying save files and deleating them in the game folder after turning off the cloud. And starting and quitting the game and then putting them back. Didn't work. I put all graphics on the lowest settings possible and turned on windows mode. Still didn't work. Saved right before opening the door to mom's house and skipped cut scenes via the pause menue. Made 8-10 attempts with the same end result. Checked my drivers... all up to date. The game is saved in an external 1T SSD. (Not sure if that matters)
I have no idea what to try next.
Maybe I'll transfer the game to my C drive (Internal SSD.. Obviously... sorry) and see if that works. But besides that... im at a dead end.

I am running the following:
Windows 11 Pro
Processor: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X
Graphics: NVIDA GeForce RTX 4070 Super
RAM: 24GB DDR4 (New pc. I'll change that to 32 soon.)

Anyway... thanks for any advice in advance.
